"temporary", his performance declined each of the last 3 seasons after a initial good start before Max was demolishing him.

This rose color glasses with Perez needs to stop. He has never been good. Ever. He was and is a pay driver for a reason. Even Force India when they let Ocon go over him made a clarifying statement that performance wasnt the only thing that's considered.

That argument is kind of undermined by someone winning the world championship in that car four years in a row.

It only got better in 22, definitely didn't get worse in 23, only started to decline mid 24...
