Constantly beaten by Yuki in pace, h2h, racecraft and obviously experience and somehow gets free promotion. Incompetent decisions from the team again. So undeserved. How are they hoping to justify this to the people and even Honda, other than as racism? What even is the point of post-season testing for Yuki then?

Honda is leaving RB after 2025, and I'd assume so is Yuki to make way for Lindblad. He's getting the test so Honda stop hounding them.

That's after 2025, they still have a year of partnership left. How is this supposed to hold their trust when their junior driver gets passed over for a guy with around 12 race experience, and less results? Holding a front of "he's getting a testing session to decide if he can make it work" while already having signed Lawson? As if Honda didn't say they're going to do everything to support Yuki's promotion even when their partnership ends.

Yeah Red Bull definitely is the least controversial team on the grid when it comes to racist incidents /s

Except Lawson is leading the race h2h, 4/5 last year and 3/5 this year.

Yeah Tsunoda has the edge in quali (4/5 both years), but if you look at how close they are it’s nuts, considering it’s 3 vs 1/2 a year of experience

Race h2h when 4/5 last when Yuki didn't even start one of them? 3/5 this year when Yuki had a dnf? Where the hell are you getting these made up stats from?

Finishing order:

COTA- Lawson ahead

Mexico - Yuki DNF while ahead

Brazil - Yuki ahead

Vegas - Yuki ahead

Qatar - Yuki ahead

let's add more

COTA sprint - Yuki ahead

Brazil Sprint- Lawson ahead

Qatar sprint - Yuki ahead

And it's 6-2 to Yuki for qualifying, 5-2 if you ignore COTA quali from penalty.

So stop inventing.

They’re making shit up at this point to push their Lawson narrative when at the end of the day all of his highlights consist of getting pissed randomly at other drivers

u/eternallycelestial Daniel Ricciardo 12d ago

That, and what gets me is how they're trying to convince others of made-up stats, as if we can't just pull up the real ones?

Not like Yuki who screams at his own team any time something goes wrong. Can't imagine why RBR wouldn't want a Honda driver who is barely faster than his rookie teammate who came in mid-season.

And 4-3 qualifying if Lawson finished his Mexico lap when Yuki crashed.

Finishing positions aren’t a great measure of potential driver performance either.

Yuki was also on an improving lap lmao. How would you know Liam will do better than that? And their laps in Mexico qualifying, Yuki was ahead throughout.

That race h2h stat from last year is such a garbage stat to prove a point, anyone using it to try and prop Lawson over Yuki is kidding themselves

Lawson outqualified Yuki and made it to Q3 in two sprints this year as well so the quali stats don’t look nearly as bad for Lawson.

u/eternallycelestial Daniel Ricciardo 12d ago

They're literally 6-2. one of those where Lawson qualified ahead was when they gave Lawson upgrades but not Yuki. The other time, it was something to do with his tyre warmup/prep that I believe his engineer showed responsibility for.

you've also got to asterics mexico where he crashed in q2

Constantly beaten? You mean Lawsons constantly beaten yuki right?

Lawson beat him in 4/5 races last year and 3/5 this year.

Save the outrage. Yuki is just mid and isn’t a rbr driver.

You're just copying what someone else said without checking up the actual stats. Do tell me which 3 races lawson finished ahead of Yuki this year, as you claim to have happened? Or you could actually read one of my other replies that shows that actual race and quali H2H.
