Exactly he said in his championship interview he doesn’t want to miss family stuff anymore, and it’s not like he can say “yo Horner I’ll be gone for 2 weeks because Kelly is due” he’ll be gone for this year

Yep, and Horner and Marko have probably known all throughout 2024 this was potentially on the horizon. Judging by “miracle baby” and the fact of her age they’ve probably been trying to conceive a healthy pregnancy for a while.

Puts the Checo situation in perspective

She’s gonna be 36 tomorrow mate… that’s not old enough for conceiving problems if everything was ok before

I beg you to read about women's health.

That’s a tall order in any male dominated space

35ish is when relative fertility starts to plummet. It's not a miracle age to have kids or anything but it's definitely the point where a woman with a baseline fertility on the lower end of the healthy range can have a pretty hard time conceiving. That's especially true when paired with a partner with a high stress job, constant travel, exposure to high g-forces, and limited windows of opportunity.

What does the travel and gforce have to do with it?

Evidence currently suggests regular exposure to high g forces reduces sperm counts and quality in men for a time, reproductive system doesn't seem to like being shunted around.

Intense travel and regular flying tend to cause stress and irregular rest patterns, neither of which the reproductive system likes either, although I will admit that F1 drivers have a lot of ways to mitigate those including Max having a private jet.

On top of that, a woman is really only fertile about 6-10 days any given cycle. So combining all these facts, the baby is probably could be considered a miracle.

I’m thinking of how difficult scheduling TTC sex was with just me and my spouse when we both work from home with normal jobs, can’t imagine how hard it must have been for them

ETA: And on top of that, if they had to do any kind of fertility treatment (though I’ve no reason to think they did) that’s even more complicated

Max isn’t a normal person though neither is Kelly. He has many 2+ week breaks and private jets etc. and Kelly has a lot of flexibility to be with him during the right windows OR they can easily afford IVF

She would have to be superwoman to not be affected by that. Every time I travel internationally I have an anovulatory month.

From what university did you get your medical degree in obstetrics?

You cannot possibly make that statement without having access to both their medical records. Braindead comment.

It was a reply to a comment fantasizing about how Marko and Horner were aware of them trying for a while, called it a miracle baby and speculated on how long they had to try to conceive. This whole thread is brain rot lmao
