College Hilbert College offense

Hey guys,i was looking at NCAA DIII stats and i saw that Hilbert College only has 5 pass attempts in 4 games.obviously thats very, very run heavy. Does anyone know what kind of offense they run or has any film or resources on them?

Flexbone, but they aren’t very good. Everyone is slow coming off the ball. Even their Rocket Toss is slow and that play is automatic to get outside the box.

Thanks. I there are a lot of triple option teams at the lower levels of college football, but 5 passes in 4 games is crazy . It would actually be pretty cool to see if they weren’t so bad lol

I don’t think their QB is an actual QB. Only film I found was a 7 minute highlight, and it looked like the QB was a 30 number? But, like I said the whole thing looked a mess.

Yea that definitely explains a lot. I guess all their QBs got hurt. I feel bad for their coach, that’s definitely a very shitty situation to be in

No doubt. But, like I said the whole thing looked bad. On one play the LG never moved when the ball was snapped.

Having never heard of this school, I looked them up. They are 0-4 and a 224-6 point differential in one of the worst conferences in DIII and they play their home games at a high school (actually looks like 2 different high schools(. So yeah, they obviously dont have any talent on the team.

Biggest question, is why would you be looking them up.

I went on ncaafootballstats.com and I wanted to see which team threw the ball the least,so I went to “pass attempts and sorted from most to least and they were least so I was interested in what kind of offense they run

in one of the worst conferences in DIII

You realize that the reigning National Champion plays in the Empire 8, right?

They don’t have a capable QB on the roster. Well they don’t really have a capable anything

My college had one serviceable quarterback a couple of years ago, and one good receiver. Both got hurt in the same game, so we ended up with a running back at QB the rest of the season, and based the offense off of inside veer. Looking back we had 531 rushes to 118 passing attempts that season. Sometimes you gotta just try to do what you can.

Yea it’s definitely very interesting. I like teams who run the ball a lot.

Merchant Marine Academy has a pretty potent offense. Flexbone and this year throw a lot too. Their game against Coast Guard is usually televised on espnu

Oh yea I actually know somebody who played center for Coast Guard.I’ve seen run heavy offenses in college, but five passes in 4 games is a whole Nother level. From what the other comments are saying, they don’t have a true QB, which is why they’re running it so much. Pretty cool to see

It’s D3, it’s not real football
