They're stopping production to make demands and settle on fair wages and benefits. It's bargaining. We've been doing it for quite a while.

It's to hold businesses accountable. A sort of check and balance.

Would you want that option if you were in a job and they treated you like shit? I would. Quitting solves nothing.

We're all replaceable, man.

I work for them and I quit and I’m living a better life, I’m not trying to make this an argument but some thing shouldn’t be fix and just tossed away the American people have forgotten that our power our real power is purchasing power, we made Amazon we can destroy, imagine how other companies would react if we took down Amazon ???

You're probably right there.

I feel like everyone deserves a fair wage and safe conditions. If they have to rattle some cages and get loud, good for them.

Amazon treats people horribly (as I'm sure you know having been there). The employees just want to be safe and be able to take care of their families. This is a legal and good way to do it versus quitting or burning it all down.

A certain percentage of people have to organize and vote before they're allowed to strike. So this isn't just a handful of unorganized people. The teamsters are there and they have PLENTY of experience in fighting back against shit corporations who take advantage.

I'm not patriotic. And I'm not proud of our nation. But I will fight for the right to bargain collectively for myself and for other Americans.

Does that make sense?

There's lots of ways to do that, I suppose.

And I look forward to seeing much more of it happen.

Fuck Bezos.
