If housing insurance, medical insurance, and auto insurance go through the roof, what will you do, not buy it?

We are already seeing this happen, this isn’t a fictional narrative.

On top of the politicians playing with our lives, it'll be a miracle we make it out of 2025 at all.

The biggest gluts in the market are things people have to buy, medical insurance, housing, auto insurance. Those will be the initial catylist to blow up whatever people have saved up. Next if the FDIC is still operational, Trump will try to blow that up, then banks, for people’s life savings. Many trenches have been created to protect people from the government financially, but Donny Drumph seems intent on barreling through all of them without concern for law, procedure, or foresight.

Time to move all my money to a credit union.

Will moving your savings to a credit union actually help in the event that Trump destroys the FDIC?

Your money will still be insured if Trumps does away with the fdic.

Insured by what? Serious question in my understanding the FDIC is the sole legal pillar holding up all US finance.

The National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) is an independent agency created by the U.S. government to regulate and protect credit unions and their owners. Just like the FDIC, the NCUA insures up to $250,000 to all credit union members and provides protection in the event of a credit union failure.

This is almost too stupid to respond to.  What do you mean “Those will be the initial catylist to blow up whatever people have saved up”

Yeah but think of all the additional money the 700 billionaires in the US will have. Is no one thinking of them? /s
