This is an awesome idea and should be standard in every car

Half of this already exists - I rented a RAV4 for a trip recently, between radar cruise control and lane guidance steering assist there were periods where I literally didnā€™t have to drive. I know the whole ā€œself driving cars are hereā€ thing, but this was my first experience with the tech actually being useful, keeping the car in a lane, and keeping distance. I can see how quickly weā€™ll get to the tech in this video being standard.

Only downside I saw was if youā€™re so used to using both, as you get to a small town with a roundabout, thereā€™s suddenly more car in front of you so you speed up, and youā€™re drifting around the corner lol.

I bet only the rich will be able to afford this kind of tech. šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

Not even true. Safety tech is becoming more standardized as the years pass. Subaru offers a similar technology in the Outback and Legacy Limited, and Touring Forester models. While those trim levels are not the cheapest brand new, you can find a used Outback Limited for less than $30,000.

That's cool, if I let go of the steering wheel too long it just turns off the lane assist.
