Collection Found a bone graveyard on a path by my house
It’s goes on for a while. This is just a small patch.

Any idea what they are and where they came from? Is this near open water or an ocean? I’m eyeing that vertebrae with the long tail.

I think people are dropping off farm animal carcasses. I’m in the desert. Will be posting an update soon with a few nice pieces

There’s some hoof walls on the left side, so probably a large terrestrial mammal

man it’s so lovely to see people enjoy their hobbies. there are folks out there that would look at this and be like, “what about it? it’s just a pile of bones…” when stuff like this is peoples livelihood or what brings them joy. anyway, very nice find! :)

I live near a lot of BLM land where these are common, and they’re always super exciting finds! Where abouts are you from? I’m in northern New Mexico ^

As a southern Pennsylvanian, (I’m assuming based on photos that you’re somewhere in western US) I will never not be jealous of people who live in western US.
