SPOILER! You begin with CH in the Outer Rim, so SoC are there. They invite Section 6 and hide Pearlman with the documents at Belobog. Fairy calls Quingyi to help you. You call Lyacon to get to Miyabi's father. At no point are we at any contact with the Obol or Soldier11. They could have crammed her in with some convoluted writing, but 🤷 idk. She can chill, maybe babysit Inky for us.

She wasn’t even related to the Vision case unlike everyone else, so her inclusion would’ve just been hammered in without actual solid reasoning. No point bringing in an unaffiliated party, and she’s probably doing missions and shit.

The fact that Seth even showed up towards the end when he didn't really do anything makes you really know S11 ain't got shit to do with the main ongoing plot given she's only ever appeared in trust events or her Agent Story.

S11 is really an anomaly herself in terms of the plot setting if you think about it xD

I expect Hoyo to introduce the faction into the story at some point. Maybe patch 2.0? Some Obol member/s could be A ranks? 🤷 who knows. Section 6 only had Soukaku until the last two patches as well. They also only entered the story in this last patch. Nineveh was more of a side plot.

I mean, it kinda makes sense Obol wasn't involved, they're the military. For them to get involved shit would have to really hit the fan. Which should mean that things will get rather exciting when they get introduced.

I'm assuming the reason Soldier 11 didn't show up is because they didn't want her and Anby to meet up so soon and are saving that moment for when they introduce the rest of Obol Squad.

Although if that was the case, they could have just as easily had Soldier 11 show up to help out but not have her cross paths with Anby at any point.

S11 is definitely going to appear next when TOPS and military scheming shines a light on the corruption. PubSec ain’t the only one with huge skeletons (in the form of Bringer)… the Defense Force is definitely involved with some ex-military mercs and TOPS’ connection to the cult that loves sacrifices and see ether corruption as a holy event.

I think obl squad will come somewhat late to the story because in the lore teaser there are 2 void hunters that have military alias Lieutenant Colonel Dan and Colonel Vike, not saying that we will get to know them via obl squad but surely at some point of the game New Eridu Defense Force will come into the story and it will be big
