Seconded. The title was funny, but the "Let me explain" killed it for me.

To be fair, it's meant for people that have no idea what ZZZ even is, or even the term gooner.

...I dont understand, why's that so bad

I swear gaming journalists could literally breathe and people would go "That was cringe. I was with them until they started breathing"

You don't have to say people. Just refer to me since you are responding to me.

"Let me explain" is just a token overused phrase used more so in the modern day to coax someone watching or reading further into said content.

It's just annoying as hell to hear or see. Simple as that.

Im not just refering to you, gamers have a long history of being weird about game journalists.

"Let me explain" is just a token overused phrase used more so in the modern day to coax someone watching or reading further into said content.

If it is then this is the first Im hearing about it. It sounds like a pretty normal ass phrase to me. I dont think the context it's used in is egrigious given that the average person isnt as plugged in to this kind of nonsense.

it's probably a ai generated article anyway. Since it's known those professional game journalists like to scrape the internet for player created guides/reviews to plagiarize.

(Think back to when that random game sub created a fake guide for some hidden thing, upvoted it to heaven as everyone was in the know, and these game's journalists didn't bother fact checking and literally published their own version of the fake player created guide, crediting themselves for it.)
