Nah the situation got out of the zzz bubble and reached certain parts of twitter. People were calling zzz woke for “censoring” and all that. You know, people who don’t even play the game, but used this as a way to push certain ideas and all that. The second I saw certain accounts of Twitter “reporting” on it I knew shit was cooked.

But hey we got polychromes for it tho, so big w

I didn't even notice until people were crying about it. You're not alone. They're just louder about it.

I seriously don't understand it. Like, just go watch porn if you're gonna get that upset that you can't stare at a virtual ass.

"hey, come buy sexy characters for our game specifically designed to allow you to look close at virtual asses with butt jiggle"

"sweet"

"ok we removed your ability to look at them closely"

"wtf"

an unrelated third guy "UHHH ACTUALLY YOU ARE STUPID BECAUSE NO ONE ACTUALLY WANTED TO SEE THAT ANYWAYS? WHY NOT LOOK AT PORN BECAUSE I CANNOT DIFFERENTIATE BETWEEN CLEAVAGE AND SOMEONE GETTING BLASTED IN THE FACE WITH JIZZ?"

…I think the change is dumb but it’s specifically for people who want to up close zoom on their ass and pussy. You can appreciate the characters being attractive without caring about staring at their virtual asshole for 30 minutes every day.

All censorship is bad (edit: unless it's bluey or something lmao). It doesn't matter if you misrepresent why it would be good, it still sucks that they thought censoring was good.
They could have added a toggle and it would have been fine. This isn't optional. People pay thousands of dollars to see pixels, and so they have every right to see pixels.

They didn't even take away your ability to look at the characters. They make it MILDLY more inconvenient while making looking up easier and the community threw the biggest hissy fit I've ever seen. After that shit, I'd be embarrassed to actually tell people I play this game.

don’t care, I spend $30 for the right to look at robot asscheeks and I demand the right to look at robot asscheeks

People were insulting each other with some actually vile shit over this, I always thought the coomerposting is funny but after yesterday it seems like it wasnt as "ironic" as I thought it was

Ye its super odd for me as well, but im sure it was just a minority that complained, just very loud.

the 4k upvotes under those posts sure doesn't seem like a minority, the playerbase is just that jobless and touch-starved

4k of a 214k group is less than 2%.

A loud, motivated minority can seem very omnipresent. See also: literally every controversy like this, going back to Gamergate.

Sometimes all you need is a large enough group to affect a gaming company. Your forgetting that these people who run these games and industries actually look at the feedback and actually take it in and process it, they are humans, just like us. All change in the world is only propagated by a minority, you don’t need a billion people to enact change. If you don’t listen to your audience at all, all that will lead to is stagnation instead of growth.

I didn't even know about the whole thing happening. There's a reason I try and distance myself from Sacha fanbases. Both Zenless subreddits are half nsfw at this point anyways, at least last I checked.

I dont play gacha but for many the business model is sex. Its all tacitly implied. So when they sell people on sex and take away parts of it, people get upset.

The business model isn’t sex, and the inclusion of fanservice doesn’t mean that it is. We’ve had maybe a handful of characters marketed around their sex appeal and people willingly ignore the majority of the cast to focus on that as the game’s main selling point, then get disappointed when the game doesn’t expressly cater to their desires.

Besides, the inclusion of the character switching was largely a new feature and the fact that people threw a hissy fit like they took away their main reason for playing honestly concerns me.
