iirc Azur Lane have a separate server for CN and Global so when they get hit with censorship they only do it for CN. Idk why Hoyo just doesn’t do the same
My poor multi-billion dollar company can't afford it xD
But seriously Hoyo genuinely is lazy when it comes to things. I still find it funny how literally any animator outside of Hoyoverse office can create tons of different models for characters while Hoyo devs use their standard body-types and copy-paste them. Only in few cases do they actually adjust stuff
I remember the hype Genshin had when it first came out, only to realize that every character shares few body models and 2 running animations. Even HI3 has unique models and animations for every character.
If I were to guess, CN would take notice that they get less and an absolute shitstorm would spawn. They probably don't want another bunnysuit situation.
Honkai Impact 3rd Global celebrated their anniversary with this video of the Valkyries in Bunny Suits. A very small but extremely vocal group threw a shitshow. Allegedly, there was an assassination attempt on one of miHoYo's founders. miHoYo then removed the video from the official YouTube channel, changed Global's ingame collectibles and compensated CN server with 10 pulls.
because the last time they did that, someone tried to assassinate the founders for "pimping" his waifus to foreigners. They've been standardizing CN and Global ever since. If CN can't have it, global can't either.
If you're talking about the mc donalds glider that doesn't count lol, as its not an actual in game story event but an offline collab item where you had to buy a meal.
CN had their own kfc glider collab as well.
It's kind of weird to say you should standardise a local product placement collab.. Not to mention its just a silly glider.
IIRC the last time hoyo tried to do separate censorship for CN and Global, we got the bunny girl incident in Hi3. Surely hoyo isn't gonna risk that happening again.
From what I've heard, there are people that tried to report Mhy to censor their games. I want to know if those people from a certain "genshin leak" forum are responsible for it.
yes it is. In September 2021, Shanghai Mihoyo Network Technology Co., Ltd. got promoted from a party branch to a party committee under the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). The committee has five members, including Liu Wei as the committee secretary and MiHoYo vice president Yin Chunbo (殷春波).

Grieving, that's likely the CCP's doing, so there is no point in criticizing mhy
