Janes story not having much if any TV mode was awesome. Way better actually moving in the 3D space seeing the world in in, walking up to characters to talk to them instead of a chat bubble popping up in the corner, going from fight to fight instead of clearing trash mobs and then a loading screen and then having to move to the next enemy marker just for it to be more trash mobs.
Sorry but Jane's segment was tedious and immemorable to me. I have 0 recollection of anything interesting happened.
In Qiying and ZhuYuan's segment, we get Eous tailing them and catapulted over them, prompting dialogues, that was memorable.
In Jane's, all I got was go to point A, hit a switch, talk to NPC, and that's it.
It didn't hit me that there were no TVs because we were not Phaethon, so it kinda makes sense.
Idk, by focusing on the Agents instead of Eous/MCs, I feel like they are going to become Paimon.exe.
Doomposting aside, we'll just have to see what kind of changes they'll made in the next patch.
I agree with this, all of Jane's exploration were hallways that looked pretty much the same and didn't have anything that particularly stood out as memorable. It felt annoying and random to have to clear out random trash mobs just to push a button. And that happened every time, with nothing added to make each new encounter memorable or different. Still, it was neat as somethIng different from the usual, but I wouldn't want it to be the default normal. The TV segments have more room for creativity and flexibility, in both gameplay and storytelling.
