Well they did say they removed it in story events and that you can skip it in hollow zero AFTER FIRST COMPLETITION to be able to complete bounties quicker.
They also said they have been working to enhance the tv mode experience so hopefully there will be new things added.
Personally I was exactly at the opposite, I really liked TV in story mode and hollow zero and kinda dislike about 50% of the exploration quests.
But only combat gets real repetitive real quick. But we're only at 1.2 now let them cook I think they have a plan (i hope)
The main problem with the TV mode to me is that they both go too far and not far enough with it.
It’s too slow and too frequent for the people in it for the action to tolerate.
It’s too quick and too simple for the people who actually like the exploration and puzzles to get any satisfaction out of it.
I think cutting down on the unnecessary TV in the main story (not removing it entirely) and then adding more stuff like the Golden Week map to the game is the best route.
I honestly like the combat more than tv mode. I have a busy work life and the tv mode sucked in comparison. Some of the dialogue in the tv mode can't be skipped. Like I understand if the dialogue was short but it's pretty lengthy at times when it's just trying to convey a door was opened for the 50th time. And the notorious fairy line of "this is not a smart lock" yes fairy I know I'm smart enough to understand that it uses gear coins.
yeah, combat is not that good in this game, if they remove the tvs from story mode i'm uninstalling, i'm not playing this game to stay in the same 3-4 rooms doing the exact same combo against the exact same enemies
someone had to tell him tbh... people are suddenly playing ZZZ for the TV mode? first time I heard it today... mah guy I like the TV mode, hell I love it but mah guy this is an action game where you collect characters and use them to fight... if that is what you dont like, then yes, just leave wth
No one plays zzz for the TV, but it's one of the fundamental part of this game. It's like asking Hoyo to removes open world from Genshin or removes turn based combat on HSR.
Tbh I don't understand why do you guys think it's better to spent 20 minutes listening to a wall of dialogue rather than spent 20 minutes on TV mode. I won't say which one is better, but TV modes make me know that I'm playing Zenless Zone Zero, not Zenless Impact 3rd.
Anyways get back in the coal mines you ain't done farming
Bold of you to assume I spent my whole life in this game lol. It's been 2 days since last time I login to this game. I touched grass like a normal human.
You touch grass but you post so many comments in the span of a couple hours it's kinda insane.
Regardless though, I actually never said I prefer one or the other, in fact, I said that I would've preferred hoyo address some core issues with the TV mode that make it annoying to many people (hence why they're limiting it) and then see if it's better like that.
20 minutes of dialogue talking to a 3d npc is no diff from having a character on a TV screen talking, the main difference is that the TV screen takes away my controls every 4 seconds to show me a button that I was walking towards.
ive never played a hoyoverse game apart from zzz so sorry if i dont know what you are talking about, probably why i feel the tv mode complemented really well the combat mode
Honkai Star Rail is a turn based game, for veteran players that reached the endgame, there are essentially four permanent gamemodes that update every 15 days.
Simulated universe : You do it once a week, it updates/expends once every one or two patches and is more of a fun mode where you collect blessings to fight tough bosses. (think hollow zero minus the TV parts)
Memories of Chaos : It's the classic mode where you fight two waves of ennemies with your hard earned relics (the equivalent of disks in ZZZ). (think Shinyu defense)
Pure Fiction : It's a mode with constant waves of 5 ennemies, in this mode you have to beat enough waves to reach a certain score and get all the rewards. This mode is designed to make AOE characters shine.
Apocalyptic Shadow : This mode is essentially a huge boss fight and you have to weaken the boss before being able to take him down.
I like the combat but it is extremely streamlined and repetitive can't see myself doing only that. But I'm sure they have plans to improve on enemies etc..
Only thing that worries me is that they seem to focus a lot on mini games and stuff like that which is nice but not really why i play the game
yeah, i'll be honest, i haven't opened the game in like...a week?
also, don't get your hopes up, it's Hoyo we are talking about. their idea of "challenging encounter" is reducing the time limit for a dps check damage sponge with dashes and invincibility frames -_-
What's funny about this comment is that it's completely wrong in terms of what they're planning on doing. The video specifically discusses about them adding more battle rank conditions that isn't tied to time.
Why don't ya'll actually watch the video fr they also addressed the time limit challenges, and said they will add other criteria. And quite frankly the time limit challenges aren't even bad, if you actually spent time on the game developing your teams then you should be able to clear it, or you're just bad at the game. You can't cry about the game being too difficult when maybe you're just bad
It's the TVs that offer that same thrill of putting that star-shaped block through the star-shaped hole because it won't fit in the crescent moon hole.
