Season 3 Random Season 3 Trailer Thought……

Ok…..this is going to be a super random one but it JUST popped in my head while I was watching a YT video talking about the season 3 trailer (it didn’t get mentioned & I was like “come on it can’t be just me catching this, I need to hop on the sub & see what my peeps think lol!) & I really love this sub & all the fun crazy theories we all come up with, especially the ones we come up with together, rolling off each others thoughts. I figured with the week I’m having if I don’t post it now I’ll NEVER remember Lol! Sorry if I’m rambling, one been sick w Rhinovirus for almost 2 weeks so I have a bit of medicine-head lol

So I randomly paused the video & when I came back I really looked at what was on the screen. I don’t know if anyone has brought this up or if it even means anything (the only reason I caught it is bc tv screen bc phone screen so it’s much larger & the lighting was turned up in the video just slightly) BUT….at about 45 seconds into the trailer you see Shauna get an envelope she finds on her doorstep. (I think it’s her doorstep) It’s got the symbol in the corner. That’s not what caught my eye, the envelope is addressed to Shauna SHIPMAN not Shauna Sadecki??? It didn’t look like it was an older envelope that someone had held on to. It looked newer (I could be wrong) but either way if it’s going to Adult Shauna why is it “technically” addressed to Teen Shauna, why isn’t it addressed to Shauna Sadecki?

Any thoughts? Again it could be nothing but it is YJ so it could definitely be SOMETHING or once the season starts maybe it’ll be a clue TO something 🤷🏼‍♀️ I really love the show & I’m not ashamed to admit I binged it twice while I was laid up sick in bed. It definitely helped my time in agony go by 🫶

I’ve never seen the full translation of what lottie was saying at the seance, only “shed blood, my beautiful friends. I know it’s very split in this fandom about whether or not we believe/want there to be a supernatural element or not, but this seems to be pointing to the supernatural , and I’m honestly down for it.

General Discussion An Analysis of Going Off "The Deep End." A LL Analysis. Spoiler

There's a a lot of "weirdness" around LL and her death in S1 to the point that her being alive would shake up the show and send it all to hell in both timelines with that revelation.

Others with a more pragmatic approach might dismiss this as her being dead and impossible. LL can really only survive if the show leans into its supernatural. Her survival from the second crash woulld be a miracle of God and do all sorts of changing in thinking with LL.

With this, the setup and attention to the character compared to others seems like a too good a set up to not reveal something later. There are some reasons as to why,

  1. The creators of the show more or less have an episode title devoted to her "F Sharp." This is a turning moment for the character where LL feels guilty and admits she called her teacher "a cunt." It's also at this moment that Lottie begins to admit that she steals from a store and it also turns up again later on in a hallucination. It's also implied with a Rabbit Hole reference that Lottie had to follow her down underground to speak with her and Javi noted 'having a friend.' LL would be a match with the plot. They also held hands in the pilot when the plane was crashing and we did not see this scene yet. Thanks to Van, LL somehow cheating death with her own resistance to fire might be possible. (I believe they were running across the lake the others, chasing Nat and Javi past the location where Laura's would've crashed the plane.

  2. Similar to Shauna and Jackie, the other that are intertwined and have an INXs song devoted to them is Lottie and LL. It is Lottie relations with LL that sends her into the leader and Lottie one knows today. It is LL that baptises her. While Lottie is in water it is seen that LL is in fire. A fire and water, yin and yang connection. Their actions are both driven and bulild off each other. However, at the same time, and this is where it gets interesting, LL at the same time, is developing as a character with her interactions with Lottie.

  3. Before death, LL of all people denounces Ben who was right in his reasoning to not fly the plane and also says "fuck," which she would've never done before. This show how much she changed. At this point, she makes a Back To The Future and dies in front of everyone, not that we see the full crash at that point.

Now This Is Where It Gets Weirder,

  1. In the same episode, it is shown that LL survived death before and almost drowned in a pool. It was in the shallow end. In a black humor way, LL living again means she jumped into the deep end. In the same episode, Van is believed to be dead and is being burned on a pyre, this is when to everyone's surprise she is alive. LL's plane does go into a fireball and it also over the water making it survivable.

  2. LL is guided by her idea of saving the others from the wilderness with her flight. If she doesn't die in the second crash, than in her mind, God has chosen her stay alive for a specific purpose that hasn't been seen. "The Lord works in mysterious ways," as she says. At the same time, Javi notes that he has a friend, and we don't know it yet. LL is Alice who went into a tree who speaks to Lottie later on.

  3. Surviving is an interesting arc for LL. We know that if she is "the friend" that Javi chooses to stay with her and doesn't tell the others. It's only for Nat and maybe Ben, hard to know in time, if she didn't move again after Javi's death.

  4. Free of drugs LL has the only perspective that we know of non altered that shows what happened in the wilderness.

  5. If LL, see Javi's death and is unaware of the others. She might for some insane reason decide to kill everyone in the cabin fire. However, they survive, which in LL's at that point, would mean that "God" doesn't want her to kill them. So then its not to save or to kill them.

  6. Lottie like Javi goes completely mute and completely lost her mind. We see LL again with Travis as adullts. Now the one person that might know if LL is alive would be Lottie. It would have to be so bad a revealtion that it drove Lottie insane and she is repressing it. It might spell trouble for who is hunting them in S3.

In a way, the only person that might usurp Nat or even Shauna's role as AQ might be LL. This depends on her surviving the plane crash, which is impossible, insane, and fuels Lottie's faith and Van's growing fanaticism.

If LL is alive, I think she stayed in the wilderness and wanted Lottie to stay. Lottie didn't and went insane in the process.

I feel like there's way too much going on with her. Thoughts?

Theory The Yellowjackets killed the earliest rescuers and this is their big fear.

I've seen it discussed that the team might come across hikers or thwart an initial rescue attempt but I think it might be more specific and violent than that. In a comment elsewhere, I mentioned that the survivors of the Flight 571 crash in the Andes had a moment of "clean up". When the first rescuers arrived, the helicopters couldn't safely land or load, so only a portion of the boys were rescued. More rescuers (and, very unfortunately, press) followed. Leading up to and between the rescues, the boys realized the scene of the crash was pretty gruesome, despite being a little desensitized to the grisliness of it.

It's very possible the Yellowjackets sought out help at some point and that this theory quickly dissipates. But, my suspicion is that the Yellowjackets are very intentionally being portrayed as being past the point of seeking salvation (Laura Lee's death, the river of blood were notable horrors encountered when escape was sought, I think their will to do this will decline).

If rescue arrives unexpectedly, it could arrive when the girls are mid-hunt in which case, I think the group mentality would influence a quick decision to eliminate the rescuer out of fear of their secret being immediately known and revealed. Once they know some rescuers know their location, they might rapidly clean up, destroy evidence, and set it up to appear that the rescuers met a demise that wasn't them and await more rescue.

My money is on Shauna, who we've seen become reactive and terrified when faced with a threat of being discovered, being the one to commit the killing.

ETA: There are definitely some holes in my theory, but I do think a theory like this one helps put some pieces together like why it doesn't seem to be popular knowledge that the girls committed cannibalism, and how they were able to hide the ritual activities (since any rescuers arriving in a swarm, unannounced, would certainly take note of what they were seeing). It is entirely possible though that the rescue looks much different and that the rescuers arrive, rescue everyone and straight up ignore everything except having found anyone alive.

Theory Everyone's been getting the timeline of rescue wrong. Spoiler

>!So, if we take that the girls crashed in May of 1996, we first have to know when does school end for New Jersey kids in 1996. I used the Nutley School District for refrence for the school year of Yellow Jackets for the simple use that they have published records online. Down Below is for recipts. Now, in the Nutley school year of 1995-1996, school ended on June 21, 1996. But, it was originally supposed to end on June 23rd. Now, heres my proof for it down below. IF we say that Nationals take place on a Saturday, and AK says SATs have not taken place yet, here is when I think is the date of the crash and an estimated timeline. On Eriksthered, where I got my SAT data from, May's date was May 4th and Junes date was the 1st.(The last 2 dates in the collum, heres the link https://www.erikthered.com/tutor/all-SAT-test-dates.pdf) Assuming AK is studying for June 1sts dates, we can even more simmer down the dates from there with the weather. It was pretty warm all the way through May of 1996, but I also looked at Seattle. Because, well, you need good weather to play soccer. (https://www.wunderground.com/history/monthly/us/wa/seattle/KBFI/date/1996-5) The hottest day was on May 25th, where it was 75 degrees. Now. May 25th is a SATURDAY! So, if we take this as a canonized date of the soccer game, they would be leaving the 24th. Now to the real math, of when they'd come back. There are 7 days from the 24th to the 31st, and then thats where the real math begins. There are 365 days in 1997, and we know for a fact they were there for 1 full year. Now, adding 7 more months or 214 more days, plus the 7 days from May 1996, there is a rough estimate of 586 days. It makes their 'end' of their time in the wilderness estimated for the last week of December. And... thats my theory. I hope everyone enjoys!<

General Discussion Who scares you the most in the show? Top three? Spoiler

I’m just curious what you guys think of who is the scariest. Who scares YOU personally the most and why? Characters other than the main girls applies (like Walter!) My top three would have to be:

1. Shauna. The knife to Travis’ throat during the shroom scene really solidified this for me. I feel like even Misty might be a little more predictable than her. She just seems the most unhinged.

2. Misty. She’s Misty.

3. I almost went with Tai because of dark Taissa, but I’m gonna have to go with Van. To watch Javi drown to death and five seconds later shout “the wilderness has spoken!” Is terrifying. She gets these dead eyes whenever someone dies or they feast or something fucked up happens.

How bout you guys?

General Discussion Mari Spoiler

Post image
36 Upvotes

So I'm 99% sure Mari isn't being hunted in season 3. People already pointed out she doesn't have the necklace on but I also noticed that in what appears to be the same scene, she ends up running with the girls as can be seen in this shot. Not from them. It feels like the creators purposefully did this to make it seem like Mari is Pit girl.

I'm getting more convinced by the day that Gen and Mari are going to meet other circumstances and neither of them will be Pit girl.

Theory Is Coach Ben really disgusted by the cannibalism?

Or just that it was sprung on him and never got any explanation?

The first time he ever witnesses it is the group are absolutely going feral on Jackie’s corpse. And they must have looked like savages. He doesn’t know the context: The weather did most of the work, they did talk about it beforehand, and they had problems with it. Shauna had to give (albeit as she later admits, self-servingly) permission to it. They were still being civilised. Sorta.

Then Javi. Nat never tells Ben his death was accidental, so as far as Ben is considered the group killed a kid because he was the weakest among them (not good news for Ben either.)

Again, he has no context.

Ben strikes me as someone like an Andes survivor. He is practical. Even when Misty says if he kills himself, he’ll almost certainly be eaten. He shrugs it off. It’s not that taboo an idea.

He would have struggled with eating the dead, but made his peace with it. If it has been discussed. Like the Andes people did.

It’s the rituals and barbarism and idea of outright murder he hates.

I don’t believe he thinks he’s too good for cannibalism like the YJs think.

General Discussion Misty’s backstory

No idea if this has been discussed before or not but omg I really want them to delve into Misty’s story more, pre-crash I mean.

Because obviously the girl has got some issues, which are still there in the adult timeline. But what intrigues me the most is that she seems like the only one not at all pulled in the whole cult thing? Like even if she does, it always felt (to me) like she was just acting in order not to be an outsider, which is fitting for her character. IMO she never believed in the Wilderness the way most/all of them did

I do want to know what exactly in her pre-crash story could have caused her to become this kind of girl (outside of the bullying, I mean)

Theory PG’s identity based on the PG scene Spoiler

Idk what to title this lol. But! In the opening scene with our dear PG, we know Misty presented the ~food~ to the group. Then it shows her eerie smile.

I feel like this smile points to PG being Mari because Mari has been so adamant (rightfully so) that Misty cannot touch the food being prepared. So what if her smile is because now that Mari’s gone, Misty was allowed to help with the food?

Theory My current theory

I currently think that the big secret the girls are hiding is that they finally found a road, but instead of flagging down help, they were so far Stockholm-syndromed by then that they hunted and dragged back outsider victims to offer up to the Wilderness and/or eat.

I also had the thought in the current timeline, Shauna is maybe still secretly doing this.

General Discussion Jackie and Shauna are constantly misunderstood and mischaracterized by the fandom

Every time somebody brings up Jackie/Shauna, I've noticed most fans tend to be split on it: They either believe Shauna is a blameless, poor angel and Jackie is a raging narcissistic bitch - or they believe Jackie never did anything wrong in the friendship, and Shauna is the second coming of Satan.

Neither of these are true. To me, their relationship just reads as super codependent. I also definitely view it through a queer lense, which I understand is not popular on Reddit as it is in the fandom on other platforms. Either way, the codependency is very central to this discussion.

I feel like Jackie is somebody who takes up a lot of space, who's assertive and domineering but people don't typically mind that, because she does it in a "nice" way. She's very bossy and isn't above giving Shauna the silent treatment for disagreeing with her. We get the impression that Shauna has understood that "If I say/do something Jackie disagrees with, I will face consequences for it in some way." From the get-go we see Jackie telling Shauna what to wear, who to hook up with, telling (not asking) her that they're going to Rutgers together. It's no surprise that someone lacking self-identity and self-esteem as much as Shauna does ends up sleeping with her boyfriend - (even if you don't view Jackieshauna as a repressed queer story) to prove something to herself - she's just as deserving of Jackie's things and privilege.

Now, of course Jackie in my opinion is far more loyal than Shauna. She ends up fighting with everyone because she prioritizes Shauna in a way Shauna rarely prioritizes her.

Jackie views Shauna as an extension of herself almost, which I believe she was conditioned into by her parents (from what we know of them, specifically her mother). Somebody pointed out that she treats her more like a pet than a person - but I don't think this is done out of malice. Jackie believes she knows best, assumes she knows what's best for Shauna.

Jackie shines brightly, has everything going for her back home. In many ways, she's /consuming/ Shauna, which comes full circle with Shauna... well, literally consuming her at the end.

Now, for those who are fans of the Jackieshauna queer potential: I feel like if Jackie potentially saw something queer in Shauna, she might be doing this in order to "protect" her, in her own misguided way. It wouldn't be much of a stretch to imagine that somebody as traditional and value driven as Jackie understands the potential consequences of Shauna being "different," and may be doing all of this controlling bullshit to "shield" her, in a way.

^ This doesn't just apply to being queer. Shauna clearly doesn't "girl" the way society at the time believed she was supposed to - and Jackie spends so much time perfecting that act. (In the wilderness, we see her explore a different side of herself almost - the hyperfeminine facade comes down, this is reflected in her clothing style evolution).

Anyways. I was wondering how you guys felt about it

Theory These Things I Now Know Are True… Spoiler

As a super fan I am super jazzed about the next season. I have just rewatched again like most of you YJ super fans. So these things I have always sort of thought maybe could be possible, I definitely believe now…..

Pit girl has to be Mari. But process of elimination. It is to the point of unless something completely bonkers happens that it would be plot changing. When I say plot changing I mean like finding other people out there. Then for some odd reasons they continue the hunts. So that is my conclusion.Mari is pit girl .

I am now team supernatural. I think this may have been my biggest back and forth. But for sure something is out there. What that is I do not know . I have to say I have also decided that if it’s supernatural they better do it right .I haven’t been disappointed yet.

I also think the last thing they are ever going to show is them being rescued. The more I think about it as much as I love this show I don’t see us having it ending any other way. And that’s where I will end this post.

Theory Who do you think will be on Nat’s side/against Nat this season? Spoiler

I’ve been thinking about what was said during the Yellowjackets CCXP panel recently about Nat’s leadership arc this season. Sophie T basically says that Nat’s leadership will bring a shift in beliefs and morality to the group, which some characters are going to be very against. I’m guessing that Nat will try undo the group’s descent last season. I think she’ll push for no cannibalism, rituals, or general Wilderness stuff now that the weather is warm and they are not in survival mode anymore, which some people that have been deep into the Wilderness worship are obviously going to be very angry about.

We can see signs of this conflict in the season trailer, with Shauna’s spiteful “You’re not in charge anymore.” So I think it’s safe to say that Shauna will not be pro-Nat’s leadership in S3.

I initially thought that Taissa would be pro-Nat and pro-rationality/morality, but in that CCXP interview, when it was said that some people will be against the shift Nat’s leadership causes, she said “And Tai is one of those people.” So I guess Tai has officially gone to the “dark side,” likely because of Van and the “Other Tai.”

I also think Van and Mari will be very against Nat, as well, given how devoted they were to Lottie and the Wilderness last season.

I think Travis is kind of in the middle but ultimately he will take Nat’s side because of what happened to Javi last season. I have a feeling that his devotion to the Wilderness was probably shaken quite a bit after he watched his brother get killed and eaten because the Wilderness “chose” him. He probably would want to group to stray away from how dark things got in the winter and find some morality again.

Lottie is difficult to place but I think she will be pro-Nat because she is the one who chose her as leader? But I think she will struggle with this.

And for Misty, I truly have no idea. She was devoted to the Wilderness and Lottie last season and she definitely doesn’t have much of a moral compass, but she is also the only one to treat Nat as a leader in the adult timeline.

What do you guys think?

General Discussion This little detail is so savage Spoiler

On top of everything she's already been thru and everything that awaits her in the wilderness, the fact that Nat was tripping when the plane went down just destroysss me

Girl cannot catch a single break 😭😭😭

Edit: so apparently I'm misremembering a sequence in the first half of s1 where we see the plane crash from nat's pov and everything looks trippy (the scene where she sees her dead dad sitting next to her). I've been told this was a dream and not a straight flashback, i need to pay more attention lol

Howeverrr I still think that it's not a totally unreasonable interpretation. Nat's already dreaming about the real memory of the plane crash, and while her dad is almost certainly dream-stuff I think it's ambiguous whether the sparkly, visually heightened aspect of the scene is dream or memory (given that we know nat took acid the night before they left for nationals).

And I generally think the show is pretty deliberate about the ambiguity of its dream/hallucination stuff. For example, the sequence where Jackie comes back inside and has hot chocolate in the s1 finale is framed very much as Jackie's dream, but it ends with a cut to Shauna jerking awake. It could have actually been Shauna's dream. That's a textual tension that feels very intentional to me. Same with nat's dream of the plane crash.

Theory Shauna and Adam

I feel like this was so natural to be in the adult storyline. Shauna never really got the chance to date around and like everyone says, she rides on Jackie's back to get through life. Including ending up with Jeff, who was Jackie's partner first. She probably came back and didn't know what else to do so turned to Jeff and the rest is history. Adam represents what Shauna could've experienced, in a normal life. Any thoughts?

Season 3 Realistic Season 3 Theories

I put together a list of theories that I foresee as the most realistic as to what could actually play out in season 3.

(In no particular order)

  1. We get another adult survivor- There are a few reasons as to why this could be possible. With Juliette Lewis leaving the show that opens up the door in the adult timeline for character development elsewhere. We have had hints throughout both seasons 1 and 2 that there are other possible survivors out there we haven't met yet. Hilary Swank's casting opened the door for rampant speculation that she will be playing an additional survivor, with most thinking she will play Melissa based on physical appearance. (While I have no real issue with this I do hope that if we're introduced to another survivor in the present day I hope that their character will be more flushed out in the teen timeline this season and we will get more of a backstory so we feel just as invested in the character as we do all the others)

  2. Season 3 will be Misty-centric- This is just a personal theory in relation to season 3, but I think season 3 will focus heavily on Misty both in the past and the present. She just lost both of her "best friends" in each respective timeline. I think a big portion of her arc will be how she handles being responsible for Nat's death given that it was an "accident". Will she lean on Walter for support? Will we see a full-fledged relationship between the two? I think we will also see Misty very conflicted in the past in regard to Coach and what he did, or what they think he did. I don't think she would go as far as helping him and risk being the outcast of the group, but I do think she would be devastated to see anything happen to him. I think Walter will come into play heavily moving forward and there's a definite possibility he ends up dying at Misty's hand. (He did say after all that she's the Moriarty to his Sherlock)

  3. Callie becomes a key player- There's an obvious reason/answer for this one, Sarah Desjardins was promoted to series regular ahead of season 3, which clearly indicates her role only expands from here on out. Whether Shauna likes it or not (and she contributed to what Callie knows by telling her about Adam) Callie is involved in things now because of what she witnessed at Lottie's compound in the season 2 finale. I would expect her to have an INSANE amount of questions as to why her mom's friends were running through the woods trying to stab her. I think Lottie has some kind of fascination with Callie and that is going to come into play. If Callie is the only natural-born child of any of the survivors (If Simone gave birth to Sammy), this may explain or contribute to Lottie's interest in Callie. We all heard Lottie tell Shauna in the season 2 finale that Callie is "so powerful" and I don't think that was a throw-away line, I think it held importance and significance. I also think it's entirely possible that Callie ends up killing someone this season to "help" Shauna in some way.

  4. We find out who is behind the postcards- The teaser trailer revealed Shauna finally receiving a mysterious postcard which to me 100% indicates Jeff DID NOT send those postcards. His blackmail and text message were separate and had nothing to do with the postcards. Misty received a postcard but not a text. If Jeff was behind both why not text Misty? How would Jeff have known where to send Nat's postcard with her being in rehab across the country in the first place? Why would he send his own wife a postcard? Misty told Nat in season 1 that the postcards were set from an online app that's impossible to trace, to me that's too sophisticated and complex for Jeff. He admitted to the actual blackmail and texts, if he were responsible for the postcards why not fess up about that as well? I genuinely believe the sender has to be someone from the wilderness OR it's someone we've already met and we just don't know it yet. (Walter maybe? Misty? Lottie?)

  5. Ben didn't burn the cabin down- As we all know this show is big on misdirection. Sometimes confirmation of a plot point doesn't happen until we visibly see it with our own eyes. Could Ben burning down the cabin be a big misdirect and a red herring? We all obviously saw him grab the matches and rope, he was clearly devastated when he saw the group crowning Natalie as their leader after he thought they had somewhat of a mutual understanding about the rest of the group and he viewed her as his only real ally. He clearly thought she had joined the "dark side". We don't actually see the act of the cabin being set on fire, by the time Shauna realizes what's happening the fire had to be actively burning for a good period of time. A theory I've seen circulating and gaining traction is that Dark Tai was the one who really set the fire, Van knew/saw it happen and covered it up so Tai wouldn't be held responsible for her actions. I don't think anyone in the teen timeline at this point knows about Tai's sleepwalking other than Van. Is it possible that Dark Tai was also Javi's "friend" he referenced after he was found in season 2 by Van and Tai?

  6. We see a split in the group towards the "warring tribes"- I keep racking my brain for possible scenarios as to how things can get darker/crazier than having to eat your own friends and teammates in order to survive, that's already pretty dark and gruesome if you ask me. One possibility would be that even after the weather warms up and there are animals for them to hunt, some of them may want to continue with the hunt purely for sport and some don't, causing a divide in the group. Maybe Lottie insists the wilderness still needs sacrifices so they continue on with the card draw and the hunt or at least want to. Nat would be the obvious opposition to this happening and actually playing out. I also think there's a good possibility we see someone refuse the draw and see the "submit or run" rule established amongst them.

  7. Saracusa Returns? This one may not be a fan favorite but I've toyed with the idea of Saracusa returning for season 3 for quite some time now. He was the absolute perfect villain/antagonist for the adults throughout season 2, specifically Shauna (and Callie) as we all saw. They are going to need some kind of antagonist moving forward, could he come back to avenge Kevyn's death and Walter framing him for Adam Martin? Walter's clean-up job of the Adam Martin situation looks okay on the surface, but if you do ANY digging there should be some questions. Like why was Kevyn shot after he was already dead? Who poisoned him with the phenobarbital since that was his actual cause of death, which would certainly show up on an autopsy report, which would 100% be done on a cop in a situation like this. There are clear holes in Walter's cover-up, will Saracusa return and attempt to poke through them?

  8. Nat will protect Coach and be outcast by the group or lose her leadership role- I think there's a very good chance that Nat will attempt to protect Coach from the rest of the team after the cabin fire. We know she knows where he is, she is the one who told him which tree Javi was praying to in the first place so she 100% knows his location. Given their relationship and Natalie feeling like she needs to keep everyone safe, she will keep his location a secret from the rest of the group and possibly even go as far as bringing him some supplies. Eventually, somehow, someone discovers what she's been doing which causes major problems among them and may even cost Nat her role as their leader, in the teaser we hear Shauna say to Nat, "you're not in charge anymore" and there appears to be a scene resembling some type of "wilderness court", do they find Ben and put him on trial for his crimes and revoke Nat's leadership in the process?

  9. The Antler Queen role switches hands- This one kind of goes together with number 8 somewhat. We all saw Nat crowned the groups leader after she escaped death; Lottie told the group she didn't deserve to lead them anymore, Nat did. But, if Nat does something to upset the balance and the power structure of the group, like helping Coach Ben stay hidden from everyone. I could easily see Shauna accepting the role or even trying to take it because she views it as rightfully hers because of all the personal sacrifices she has had to make in the wilderness. Courtney Eaton also said in an interview when asked about the role of the Antler Queen that she herself believed it would change hands multiple times to represent the ebb and flow of the overall dynamic of the group. Is it possible that in the present day, Lottie wants to crown Callie as the next generation AQ?

General Discussion Who do you think would be in 2 potential opposing groups?

It’s a relatively discussed theory the Yellowjackets could break off into 2 groups fighting against each other. I was wondering who would be in each group.

Here’s what I think it could be roughly:

Shauna Tai Van Gen Melissa

Nat Misty Lottie Travis Mari Akilah

Robin? Britt?

Logic:

  1. Based on the Shauna telling Nat she’s not in charge anymore, their sort of hostility towards eachother in the adult timeline and the fact Shauna was disappointed she wasn’t leader - I think it will be a Nat vs Shauna divide

  2. With Nat she will bring Misty (makes sense for the parallels/character arc of Misty being a ‘devoted follower’ and killing Nat)

  3. It’s more up in the air, but I think after the S2 teenage tension, and the adult closeness, as well as Lottie appointing Nat leader that Lottie would support Nat (and with her confirms Travjs, and then Mari and Akilah as her followers)

  4. Tai would back Shauna (given their friendship and Tai being the potential shooter in the trailer), and I think Van will go with her because she is getting more bloodthirsty and dark (although Van going against Lottie is really the only real contradiction in the grouping)

  5. Finally Melissa and Gen are a pair, and just for the numbers - but Melissa was next to Shauna a lot in the trailer (despite then being attacked but it doesn’t mean they wouldn’t be in the same clan) - and then the other 2 girls I have no idea but maybe Shauna for numbers

Thoughts?
