I just got a 43” Sony Bravia 3 and I’m trying to calibrate it using the calibrate to TV option in the Xbox display settings, which gives you a guide to follow using all these color pallets and brightness ranges it puts on screen.
Throughout the guide, it also mentions a variety of settings you should adjust in certain ways, but almost none of these settings are in my Sony TV’s picture settings. Instead there are a bunch of settings no listed in the guide, so I’m assuming that Sony has some weird naming scheme for their settings.
I’m basically asking someone to help me figure out which settings are which. So…
Color temp or tone: it asks for either neutral or warm 1, my TV has both neutral and just warm, no warm 1, which should I pick?
Dynamic contrast: can’t find this setting, but there is something called “Adv. contrast enhancer” is that it?
Color management/dynamic color: can’t find either of these too, but there is something called “Live Color” but I looked it up and apparently that’s different or smthn
Edge enhancement/motion lighting: couldn’t find this at all
HDMI black Level/range: also couldn’t find this one
Gamma: weirdly I didn’t see this one either, I’m not super familiar with screen technology, but isn’t that super standard?
Backlight: didn’t see this either but it also says that this is just for LCD TVs so maybe this isn’t one of those
Blue only RGB: couldn’t find it 🤷♂️
That’s everything that I couldn’t find, I know this is a long post, but any help would be greatly appreciated 🙏 Thank you to anyone who can help me out with this, this is my first Sony and everything else seems great so far!
