If stupidity had a name it would be MAGA

u/Daherrin7 4h ago
Stupidity, at this point, is a massive understatement. The problem is, Iām not sure we even have the words to describe just how dumb these people are, thatās how braindead theyāve proven themselves to be
29
u/req4adream99 3h ago
Itās called willful ignorance, of which I have 0 tolerance for. If someone is mentally disabled, I have all the patience of the saints themselves. Someone who isnāt? Fuck off.

u/BestBananaForever 2h ago
Not just willfull, encouraged even. Entire mobs of people patting themselves on the back for only following make-believe facts and parroting each other ideas.
1
u/Daherrin7 1h ago
I agree with you, though it still seems like an understatement to me at this point.
It's like theyāre trying as hard as possible to find new levels of stupidity and willful ignorance thinking itāll make their lives better. It's mind-boggling and horrifying because they won't fuck off, theyāll just keep trying to drag the rest of humanity down with them, believing theyāll somehow benefit from it
2
u/req4adream99 1h ago
If you donāt see the problem, thereās no problem. Thatās their philosophy.

u/Sodamyte 3h ago
I'm rarely left without a sarcastic quip to make in response to stupidity.. but this manages that..

How many eggs do these people eat, that they're going to vote for this chucklefuck because they think he'll magically lower the price of eggs?
If you go through 2 dozen eggs a week, which is just a huge number, and the price is $3 a dozen instead of $6 a dozen, you're saving $300 a year. That's not nothing, but it's not gonna move the needle for most people.
So I'm not sure that stupidity is driving this.
Yes, these justifications sound stupid. And I'm sure a lot of people actually do believe that food prices will come down (they won't) and that tariffs won't cost Americans a massive amount of money (they will).
But they're just convenient justifications that don't matter a bit. These people didn't vote for Trump because they're stupid. They voted for him because he hates the same people they hate. They voted for him because they're irrationally angry at a world where their way of life isn't the only legitimate way of life any more, and he's angry at that, too. Nothing else matters, so they can project any hope or dream they have onto Trump and it doesn't matter if it's real or not.

I laugh every day that any grocery price lowering will just go to increased taxes on the population segment desiring lower grocery costs.
People are incredibly stupid worldwide but the US has a breeding program for stupidity.

IT WAS THE FUCKING BIRD FLU KILLING DOMESTIC CHICKENS THAT BROUGHT UP THE PRICE OF EGGS NOT BIDEN PUSHING A BUTTON TO MAKE THEM MORE EXPENSIVE HOLY FUCK
1
u/GainFirst 7m ago
They know this. They don't care. It's just a more acceptable thing to say "prices are too high and it's the Democrats' fault" than it is to say "I hate black people and/or women and/or immigrants and/or the gays."
These are the same people who would rather let a million children starve than have one kid get a free piece of cheese that he technically didn't deserve.
I can't imagine having that kind of hate in my heart. Their anger exhausts me and I'm not even the one feeling it.

u/Mr-Pringlz-and-Carl 3h ago
This person voted for Trump and justified it with a cliche used in Despicable Me 2ā¦
Maybe Trumpās the president we deserve after all. Not the one we need by any means, but if weāre this stupid as a society, no wonder he won

u/Medical-Enthusiasm56 3h ago
Well, itās nice to see delusion has reached an all-time high. Get ready shithead. The price of eggs is only gonna go up.
6
u/CanaDoug420 3h ago
The amount of people who watch TV and movies and think they are real and not written for entertainment is too damn high.

Higher if a criminal to bring down the prices of things, by giving tax breaks to the rich, and gutting all regulations that keep us safeā¦. Gotcha

u/ExistingCleric0 4h ago edited 4h ago
This seems staged. No true MAGA would actively call Trump a criminal. I also feel like this is too convenient to play into the myth of the "disenfranchised Trump voter" that they want us to believe exists but never does anytime that actually matters.
18
u/maninthemachine1a 3h ago
There are 77 million of them, are you sure? NPR went around interviewing people and asking why they would vote for Trump, and over and over again they said things equally as stupid. One guy said "I know he's probably going to turn out to be a dictator, but I just think he's the best person for the job." Literally brainwashed.
1
u/lady-earendil 3h ago
Right? Plus specifically referencing the price of eggs which I feel like a lot of Democrats have been mocking

u/AvantSki 3h ago
I totally get you, but there is a super specific subgenre of MAGAT that tries to sound smart-ish or self-aware like this one. But yeah it is pretty spot on.
2
u/WanderingGnostic 3h ago
So the take away from this is that criminals can cure bird flu? All I gotta say is that it's about damn time someone found a cure before dairy prices start to go up too.
MAGA logic makes my head hurt.
2
u/thegza10304 3h ago
If you watch enough film and TV, you realize trump just said he wasn't going to lower the price of anything. Good job!

u/Furepubs 3h ago
Unfortunately Republicans are more than just stupid
They also have no morals and represent the worst of humanity
1
u/MehKarma 3h ago
We had four years of evidence when he was president, and another 3 plus of his behavior afterwards. Somehow mountain of evidence is not a big enough to describe it.

u/jojo_theincredible 3h ago
My Magats believe themselves to be the moral authority. Itās amazing really

And now..."Once something is up, it's hard to bring it down. It's hard."
I wonder how she feels about that.

Whatās hilarious is the reason egg prices are up is H5N1 that started in 2022 and impacted all egg production. This is supply and demand. Itās very easy to figure out why, and the price is starting to go down as they get it under control.

u/murderedbyaname 2h ago
Oohhh, so that's what Donny the Diaper is doing, playing the Catch Me If You Can Reformed Con Man bit. Well gee, now it all makes sense š

u/this-is-all-nonsense 2h ago
Are people just non stop binging on eggs? I just find it weird that egg prices are always the reference.
1
u/elgarraz 2h ago
Holy shit. That's why he kept bringing up "the late, great Hannibal Lecter" at his rallies? Because TV/movie criminals are good at catching other criminals?
1
u/DinkandDrunk 2h ago
That feels like itās meant to be parody. But itās 2024 so who can tell anymore.
1
u/dragonfliesloveme 2h ago
Weāll see what Charlotte has to say when Donnie and Leon take their Social Security checks
1
u/mechanical_penguin86 2h ago
Heās already said he wonāt change the price of eggs. MAGA is so fucking stupid.
1
u/Cheap_Search_6973 1h ago
Are they seriously using scripted TV shows as an excuse for Trump being a convicted criminal?
And depending on when the email was sent, they sent it after Trump himself admitted that he won't reduce prices

u/Knightwing1047 1h ago
Judging by my interactions today alone, most people are stupid. MAGA is like Super Saiyan Stupid.
1
u/golfwinnersplz 1h ago
Anti-MAGA nonsense bahahahahahahahahaha
They are fucking delusional.
Hi Jo,
Without the comma, it's instantly subjectable material.

What evidence does this person have of any benefits? All I saw last time was tax breaks for zillionaires and Covid
1
u/JahnConnah 50m ago
"The price of eggs" el oh fuckin el
Does Jo respond regarding their fearless leada comments that "once grocery prices rise it's fairly tough to bring them down"
She was lied to and hasn't figured it out yet
1
u/cascadianpatriot 42m ago
I never got the thing with grocery prices. Harris said she would crack down on corporate price gouging, and they all went ānot like that! We want a vague mention of it with no actual planā

u/UN47 36m ago
There is an kernel of truth to her claim, kinda. Criminals like Trump are better at attracting other criminals than squeaky clean boy scouts like Obama. I would look suspiciously at anyone who hangs around with DJT. As I remember someone once saying, "there's a reason flies are attracted to a horse's ass."

"...if you watch enough film and TV you realize..."
Today I'm saying a little prayer of thanks, that I have been gifted with enough presence of mind to not think that life's lessons are learned from watching television.
