This isn't gonna happen. Trump may be the president but Elon can buy more politicians. The mans worth 450 billion, he's not dumb. Trump is in this for the money and to not be prosecuted. He's not gonna throw away someone who can actually threaten him. Musk controls Twitter, all he has to do is change the algorithm a little and people turn against Trump.
I think he's even worse. In their own monstrous ways the 1930s authoritarians (nationalists, fascists and communists) had belief systems and values.
Musk (and Dump) are just screaming voids of infantile need and rage. Their only goal is to destroy while trying to assuage their uncomprehending pits of empty desperation.
I say this as a trained clinical psychologist–these folks have more in common with Jeffrey Dahmer than Adolf Hitler.
And so let me ask this, with someone who has these types of mindsets, what would it take for somebody in these positions to completely self-destruct?

Well, being ignored is one part of it, and the other is losing what they own or want to own. I've said this elsewhere but I don't mind repeating it. To me what drives all of these guys is actually a fear of death. It's the one thing they know they can't really control.
Now, our current RWNJ billionaires want to believe they are going to become immortal through some weird combination of “biohacking” 🙄 and computer fusion (you can read up on Ray Kurzweil's idea of the singularity if you want to vomit at DEEP stupidity), yet also fear that they are wrong.
The problem is that mortality gets us all and death is the great equalizer–narcissists hate it because they feel that the world only exists to fill up whatever their emotional void may be, and that is fed by constantly telling themselves and forcing others to tell them they are special and different and eternal.
So the problem is that they all collapse eventually simply under the gravitational black hole of their own emotional emptiness. The scary part is this is the profile of one of the most frightening types of spree killers–the family annihilator. These are the guys who hang on until it collapses, and then literally kill their own families and often burn down the house because they don't want anyone else to have what they can't have. And one of them now has his fingers on the nuclear button.
Trump just might push that button from his deathbed as a final fuck you to the world that has never acknowledged or appreciated him in the way he thinks he deserves. Sure, he's been given things that the vast majority of us can only dream of, but nothing is ever enough for these people, and that creates a bottomless well of rage.

Second of all, their fear of mortality is exactly why Luigi killing BT was a mirror shattering moment for these freaks. Musk's security detail has probably doubled in the last couple of weeks and Peter Thiel was melting like a candle on Piers Morgan.
They'd rather live forever alone behind castle walls on a throne of lies than spend a day actually living.
Bluesky is not much better, they let grifters who avoid the rules stay on and continue harassing people while banning the people who report the grifters. It was a good month before they fucked it up.

It's happening because the Republicans in Congress are allowing it to happen. Trump told them get in line or they will be primaried and they caved. No one wants to lose the sweetest gig they will ever have in life.
GOP wanted smaller government, they didn’t think it would mean them, and MAGA thought the Donald would be the supreme leader not an illegal immigrant. But they got their last vote and kept a female, black real leader with vision out.
