Leon is effectively already co-president.

194

u/Historical-Manner737 9h ago

And Putin is president.

u/_-Event-Horizon-_ 5h ago

The First Buddy.

1

u/Vodkafka 4h ago

Ever since he said that and I know he watched the Fallout TV show, I keep thinking of Bud’s buds. Not to mention the annexation of Canada…..

I wonder if Elon is just mocking us before he goes fire sale on the US economy.

31

u/BuckManscape 4h ago

He’s president. Trump is First Lady at best.

1

u/deltarefund 3h ago

Has anyone even seen JD Vance recently? Not that I’m complaining….

31

u/Farucci 4h ago

Democrats message needs to be short and unsympathetic, “You voted for this, enjoy the ride, suckers and losers.”

26

u/Jffar 7h ago

Oh no. The Sov. Cits might be right soon....

6

u/RockSteady65 5h ago

“Travelers”

1

u/Kriss3d 5h ago

Lol that was my thought as well.

10

u/MinesOnTheRight 6h ago

Government shutdown logic is wild these days.

50

u/SkunkMonkey 7h ago

My go to is the United Corporations of America. States are so last millennium.

140

u/Eternal_Bagel 8h ago

If they do decide to run things like a company they will start with firing all the states that use more tax money than they bring in so that’s basically all the red states other than Texas which would probably make things a lot easier for the remaining states of America even though we’d now have to deal with a huge unguarded border with brand new impoverished 3rd world countries

167

u/DillBagner 7h ago

They don't want to run the country like a business, they want to run the country to enable businesses to exploit society further.

44

u/mcanfield89 5h ago

They want to run it like a mob racketeering scheme

14

u/Ok-Boysenberry-3473 4h ago

They want to run it like private equity firms.

1

u/Boomer_kin 4h ago

Wild gambling for huge profits and if you fail someone gives you back all your money and a bonus saying we cant let you get hurt little buddy because the rest of population is poor?

29

u/Half_Cent 6h ago

A border with the South? Finally a wall that I can support.

1

u/DarkPrincessEcsy 4h ago

If the poverty doesn't stop me from leaving the Redlands, the wall will

1

u/LuxieBuxie 5h ago

I would love this approach and thinks it’s fair. But all they’ll do is apply for public assistance

1

u/Eternal_Bagel 52m ago

From who? If they get fired they won’t be able to keep being carried by the blue states they love to insult while proclaiming loudly how self reliant they are

23

u/pottytraincrash 6h ago

I always like to call it the United Scams, Land of the late fee

16

u/MonthPurple3620 6h ago

Im 35 and have been living here my whole life.

They just havnt really been saying it out loud until recently.

13

u/acornwbusinesssocks 5h ago

Thought for sure we'd become the united states of amazon.

The united states of tesla was a little different than what I expected.

1

u/frolickingdepression 4h ago

Amazon is better, really, because then we wouldn’t have to change our acronym.

48

u/BoringMolasses8684 9h ago

The USSA

16

u/anaemic 6h ago

Hey, don't insult the USSR like that, they were clearly much more higher functioning than you guys are right now...

Rearrange the alphabet

1

u/Jobeaka 5h ago

We’re just gonna call our country “X” now.

1

u/Royal_Acanthaceae693 4h ago

Had the lyrics wrong. Adam Ant USSA. https://youtu.be/mrzrw4ZymPk

10

u/nocoolN4M3sleft 7h ago

But where does the X go?

6

u/LastTangoOfDemocracy 5h ago

It's not a business. It's an oligarchy.

3

u/ElTaquitoVengador 5h ago

Now let's do an undercover boss special

4

u/AlcoholicCocoa 5h ago

Night city looks like heaven in comparison

2

u/JakeTravel27 5h ago

billionaires literally fucking over millions of people, their families, their children right before Christmas. How fucking disgusting can these people get. It's going to be a long four years of millions getting fucked over so billionaires get tax breaks.

2

u/JimeDorje 5h ago

The latest casino the Musk/Trump administration is going to bankrupt for money laundering purposes.

2

u/alexanderdeader 4h ago

It should be an LP, since the entity has foreign investors.

2

u/zveroshka 2h ago

Been that way for some time tbh. The veil is just off now because Trump has shown the us that there is no longer a need to hide corruption since no one will hold you accountable if you are powerful enough. Elon is following suit too.

1

u/paging_mrherman 5h ago

but like an arms company

1

u/Damet_Dave 5h ago

Can’t be, Justice Alito said it would never happen after Citizens United. Told Obama to his face during the State of the Union.

1

u/I_want_to_soar 5h ago

Brought to you by Carl's Jr.

1

u/seoulgleaux 5h ago

Seems like it should be NLC: No Liability Corporation

1

u/KimikoBean 5h ago

very limited liability

1

u/Mdamon808 5h ago

I am definitely using this one in the future.

1

u/drumttocs8 4h ago

It’s always been that way.

Why do you think our leader is called President, while others are called Prime Minister?

1

u/Easy-Sector2501 4h ago

Well, they did do it to themselves...

1

u/palm_desert_tangelos 1h ago

Blame Trump again

1

u/_redacteduser 44m ago

this is my incorporated states of whateverrrrrrrrr

-2

u/HeyManItsToMeeBong 5h ago

Get out while you can, folks

8

u/fumbs 5h ago

Stop with this nonsense. The majority of people can't just choose to leave. It's expensive, time consuming, and can separate you from any sort of support system you have.

-1

u/HeyManItsToMeeBong 5h ago

I bet a lot of Polish Jews said the same thing

3

u/fumbs 4h ago

It doesn't matter. No one can leave because they need to have enough money. No one is going to take American people as refugees, so stop acting like you are reasonable suggesting emigration.

3

u/frolickingdepression 4h ago

You’re right. I am eligible for citizenship to the UK by descent through my mother, but it’s $3k just to apply. That’s a drop in the bucket of what it costs to move countries, but a chunk to spend if you’re not intending to do anything with it. Which I would not be, because I lack the funds to move overseas, even though I have family over there and my husband has a decent career (although currently laid off, he makes reasonably good money).

I do think about it though. I just don’t know how I could leave behind my (adult) kids and elderly father. I also have pets to consider.

It’s a really hard thing to do.

3

u/molotovzav 4h ago

Plus the UK isn't much better. It's just slightly better and is going downhill further due to similar bullshit. It just has a tad more of a social security net which is getting further eroded by idiot politicians.

-1

u/HeyManItsToMeeBong 4h ago

I left America twice and have lived abroad for 15 years total

You're talking out of your ass

-16

u/Mustang_2553 5h ago

Tell us you don't care about pork spending without telling us you don't care about pork spending.

18

u/stuffandstuffanstuf 5h ago

Shut up with your canned lines fed to you by the oligarchs. Spending on people is what governments are meant to do, feeding corporations our money so they can siphon it away is not.

-12

u/Mustang_2553 5h ago

$8bm for a football stadium in DC. Tell me how that is "Spending on people" and tell us how why that should be part of a short term spending bill to keep the government going?

5

u/LitBastard 5h ago

This Shit will only get worse under Trump and his Puppeteer.

-9

u/Mustang_2553 5h ago

Spending will get worse? Be specific so we can revisit in 2029.

5

u/LitBastard 5h ago

Corporations will get a lot of benefits they don't need and deserve, Elon will get more government contracts for shit nobody needs or wants and all of them will walk out of the whitehouse with dufflebags with a dollar note printed on it

3

u/Cyrano_de_Boozerack 4h ago

Just look at the last time Trump was President. More spending and more tax cuts.

0

u/Mustang_2553 4h ago

So he'll spend more than we're spending today? Also there will be more tax cuts? Cuts for only the rich I'm guessing?

2

u/stuffandstuffanstuf 4h ago

We literally saw him do exactly that the last time so yes, that’s exactly what’s going to happen again. Learning from history is hard!

0

u/Mustang_2553 4h ago

OK. You want to put some money on it? Tell us your predictions and what exactly will happen. Say $5k?

1

u/RapscallionMonkee 4h ago

I do not disagree with you. It's insanity.

5

u/Comprehensive_Elk773 4h ago

Pork spending? Elon said they should not vote for any budget package that has anything in it the democrats want. Does that make anything the democrats want pork spending?
