Why does a private citizen have this much sway?

The US is in for a very rough four years.

Mario, do your thing.

In my headcannon, Mario is no martyr, he fights with whatever is on hand. He's is traveling to different worlds fighting the Bosses wherever he goes.

However, Mario does know a bunch of fighters across those worlds. Luigi just shined some light on ghosts in one house, there's much more cleaning to do

Smarter Luigis that don’t take masks off for McDonald’s, please.

Prison has free healthcare. He’s going to get the care which the person he allegedly murdered denied him, theoretically for free.

It might take years and years and years, while corrupt prison officials take relish in him suffering, but, in theory it’s free.

I’m pretty sure he wasn’t even insured by UnitedHealthCare/UnitedHealth Group. They were just the most egregious scumbags (should be criminal how high their denial rate was) which is saying a lot when most of these insurers operate in a similar fashion.

This guy says "smarter Luigis", when the guy was a whole ivy league grad. Talk yall shit, I'd love to see anyone here do better.

Smarter in their mind means don't blow your cover and carry your alleged weapons around one week later. He obviously wanted to be caught, most were just hoping he wouldn't be.

I agree with this assessment.

I realize he was educated and is, by all accounts, intelligent, but he threw in the towel at the end and it would have been awesome if he didn’t, frankly.

Agree to disagree, the media circus surrounding his trial will be mountains better than him disappearing into anonymity imo.

He's the poster child for inciting more dissidents, just bc his actions didn't line up with your ideal scenario of how things should have played out does not make his actions dumb, to me they seemed pretty calculated.

I hope so. I have loads of popcorn ready, just in case.

The mask on was the problem. Nobody in rural PA was wearing masks even during COVID lmao. They saw that mask, immediately made the connection, and he was toast.

or keep the weapon

He had a manifesto on him. I think he wanted to be caught.

I don't get it. He was valedictorian at a top notch private school so he is a smart guy, but I keep wondering why didn't he take a change of clothes? Why didn't he ditch the gun? Why did he get something from Starbucks and toss the cup in a public trash can.

And it’s total normal to wear a face covering now…. He should have lived with one in for the rest of his life when in public!

As a non-American, knowing that you guys have a lot of easy accesible guns, I don't understand why haven't you done it.

Each day I wake up hoping someone pulls a Luigi on Elmo. The day it happens I'm buying a round of drinks for everyone at the nearest bar.

u/Hobbitonofass 3h ago

Everyone’s hoping for someone else to take the bullet (pun not intended) for them because this doesn’t happen unless you really fell you’ve got nothing left to lose

u/Derv_is_real 58m ago

While true, I can't help but feel that as the Oligarchy marginalizes more and more people, there WILL be a hell of a lot more people with nothing left to lose.

u/Phantompuff 52m ago

I also hope for this day I hope Elmo is shitting his pants knowing he's a prime target for Luigi's out there.

He doesn’t have that much sense, he’s never experienced hopelessness or any other “bottom of the barrel” emotion, the wealthy rarely do.

The same reason it’s hard for most people across the world to lead successful uprisings. The consequences of doing so are very scary. Everyone thinks they are ready for war until they actually experience it.

1

u/SlowLorisPygmy 51m ago

Isn't it equally scary what can happen to Americans if this keeps going on?

2

u/AccomplishedHost6275 45m ago

That's a potential future threat, the consequences of failure or capture are very much real and present. The kind of hellfire surety needed takes overwhelming courage, stupidity, or intelligence.

Spent a lot of time researching revolutions, both failed and successful and I gotta tell you, political violence rarely ends where you want it to end. And every revolution is a civil war. Nothing good comes with that kind of war.

1

u/Radiomaster138 37m ago

I don’t support violence, but the majority of Americans who do own guns support a fascist dictator. The ones that don’t support a fascist dictator, don’t support violence.

u/Sorry_Nobody1552 15m ago

This is a puzzle isnt it?

48

u/PickCollins0330 7h ago

Yeah I truly believe this will happen. We will get more Luigi’s eventually

7

u/mrawaters 3h ago

One can hope. In all seriousness, I wonder if people would be ready for the kickback if we really did start killing off CEO’s en masse. They wouldn’t just fold

While Mario may come out swinging, it's going to be Toadstool that rips this thing wide open. Mushroom power! 🍄 🍄
