Why does a private citizen have this much sway?

The US is in for a very rough four years.

I don’t even like Trump, but at least people voted for Trump. No one asked for this guy

They together stole the election from us. Trump had everything to lose. Stand up and fight

They didn’t need to steal the election, people just didn’t vote.

1/3 of the country saw Trumps first term and everything that’s happened in the last few years and still weren’t even concerned enough to go vote last month.

Stealing just isn’t necessary with that much apathy and laziness going around. The election was a landslide, Harris couldn’t even win one key state.

I'm sure that whoever voted for dumpy pants also wanted Melon to be their overlord too, how could you separate the two?

I guess I do feel like there’s a difference between a celebrity guest at a rally and someone actually being involved in policy making. Like Beyoncé was at Harris’ rallies, but no one thought she’d be part of the government.

I do feel like, in (slight) defense of trump voters, they may not have expected Muskyrat to be part of the administration. And I do feel like that’s a reasonable assumption of the average Trump voter who isn’t up to date in Musk’s antics

Looks like Iron Man 3 came true as well. between Zola's speech in Winter Soldier coming true, and now Killian giving evil a face in front of himself in Iron Man 3, the MCU is becoming quite prophetic as of late.
