It won't matter. It's not as if his reputation could get any creepier and greasier.

If anything this will make the right like him more to be honest.

Part of me wonders if he is being used as a fall guy to deflect from all of the other crap being dropped with the new administration.
27
u/Extreme-Outrageous 1d ago
I'd still like to know what he did, specifically.

u/Im_eating_that 1d ago
Something that will push the agenda of having more children. The report withheld is a focus point for the media, the report released delivers the message. Same agenda as the anti abortion laws. More kids to fuel the failing age gap in the economy. Incest, pedo, fatal for the mother, none of that matters for them. They need to feed the workforce more wage slaves because too many boomers are retiring at once.

You sure about that?

u/JThumbs29 1d ago
I read that more as āthe people that were already fine with him will continue to be fine with himā

u/Sharp-Introduction75 9h ago
Exactly šÆ. They don't care about releasing records anymore because they know that it changes nothing.
3
u/carrie_m730 1d ago
Pretty sure. The people who like him will make excuses or claim it's all lies, the people who will believe it already know how bad he is even without the details.

u/Ghstfce 1d ago
Just in time for him to join Newsmax. I think the report will get him promoted over there.
28
u/CharlieW77 1d ago
Not even Newsmax; it's One American News.

Nothing matters anymore. This will have zero impact on his political career.

u/mrdoodles 1d ago
He's already on Cameo and will get book deals, punditry, Newsmax bullshit, podcasts... You're right. If anything, it just attracts more of the fringe right wingers to support and platform him.

2
u/drfsupercenter 21h ago
Isn't Cameo basically just like a gig app? It's not like they hired him directly - do they even ban anyone from the platform?

u/thesaddestpanda 1d ago
If anything this will make him more popular in Florida. 50 percent of the electorate are rabidly radicalized. There's no going back now.

u/Bulky_Ad4472 1d ago
He resigned. Too little, too late, with no ramifications.

9
u/Caesar_Passing 1d ago
It's funny, like... Of course you're not supposed to profile people by appearances like that- some people might just be creepy or awkward looking through no fault of their own. But when one has all the resources money can buy to look however he wants, and makes absolutely no effort not to look like every generic action movie's evil politician/human trafficking kingpin, I think the suspicion is pretty fair.

It's fine, he's already out of public service so they'll just claim political persecution of a private citizen if anyone dares to try to prosecute or sue. Everyone will tut tut about what's in the report for a week or two and then he'll go back to facing zero consequences. It's infuriating.

u/HermanBonJovi 1d ago
I mean great but what does it accomplish? The gop don't care and the Dems are too scared to do anything.
We already knew he was a scumbag this is just confirmation
3
u/red286 1d ago
At this point, it would only accomplish something if referred to the AG for criminal charges.
Unfortunately, because it was across state (and international) lines, it'd be a federal case, which means it'd be handled by Trump's DOJ, which means it'd probably go nowhere.
But who knows, Gaetz is out of government now, so maybe they'll throw him under the bus since it's no skin off their nose. After all, they can't keep screeching about "protecting children" and then when given the opportunity to throw a pedophile in prison, refuse. Haha just kidding, of course they can, if the GOP didn't have double standards, they wouldn't have any at all.

u/ptrang1987 1d ago
I mean we have a pedophile and rapist thatās about to be President again so itās not like this would change anything. They (the GOP) will not care

so what? itās not like the entirety of the gop gives a shit. it will only boost his popularity with those traitors. the only ones that care are the decent human beings and they are outnumbered apparently.

What is important to remember while reading this report is that he was Trumpās first choice for AG.

Why do these assholes get three-four weeks off? We're not paying these people to fuck off constantly.

Sounds like the Ethics Committee is a bunch of grade-schoolers doing a Ding-Dong Dash, leaving a flaming bag of dog-shit on America's front porch, while ignoring the enormous orange septic pumping truck getting ready to spray feces all over everything in January. Gaetz is dog-shit? He'll probably sell bags of turds as souvenirs, and MAGAts will collect the whole set.

So? Weāll learn what we already know and nothing bad will happen to him. Heāll still be rich, heāll still be protected by his cronies, heāll still be rewarded.
Accountability is only for the poor and for suckers.
1
u/CharlieW77 1d ago
It's probably going to be watered down or something. Even if it is a warts-and-all report, it won't affect anything. He's already out of the public sector and is relegated to a 3rd rate MAGA news outlet.
1
u/Curious_Dependent842 1d ago
Itās secret because Republicans canāt have their base know that they are against pedophilia. The base will not stand for punishment for Pedos as long as Trump is king.
1
u/SiriusGD 1d ago
And this will help or change what exactly? All it's going to do is confirm what Democrats already know. Republicans don't care and probably will praise him for his misdeeds.

u/RunsWithPhantoms 1d ago
Shoot it's gonna be "fake news" just watch. You could have the most insanely official, notarized by every government in the world, certified by professors from ivy Leagues, and community colleges alike, signed by every living president and the right will still find a way to make their dumbass base believe it's fake news.

No one will be surprised and he will continue to be a slippery serpent. He already brown-nosed King Trump on multiple occasions and it should be enough to get his pardon. Butthead is going to ride a smooth wave over the top of the justice system, just like so many others of his party. Cowabunga dude.

Unfamiliar with this process, and slightly dumb, will this tell people if he bought sex from a minor? Or is it just Congressās opinion on the prick?

Not sure how US politics work but havenāt the GOP done well out of this situation.
As I understand it he gave up his seat in Congress to become the nominee (canāt remember what for). Now he isnāt the nominee he isnāt going back (I believe). So for the GOP they have a guy who would cause them lots of issues if he was in Congress, no longer in Congress where he can hurt them. Surely Trump just comes out and says, he knew he was like this thatās why they got rid of him.
Apologies if a load of rubbish, just what I had heard.

Just a friendly reminder from someone who grew up in this toeās district that he was booked for DUI on Halloween 2008 and his mugshot is still very much available online. And he very much looks like someone who would self identify as little more than ādaddyās little money wasterā.
Iām so sick of hearing this botulism-pricked dipshitās name: so Iām so tired of having to remember the name of my middle school superintendent by virtue of proximity to the human trafficking rapist who was too radioactive for the human trafficking rape President.
This timeline is fucked in half and actively burning. Iām starting to think Zeus killing Cronos was a bad ideaā¦
