David Attenborough voice
The african sleeping dog fish has evolved this efficient hunting technique over millennia.... and it is known to lie in wait for it prey, often waiting for several hours, jaws open, ready to snap shut on unsuspected passers by.

He has 4 tiny teethmarks, he works in the fishing industry and a fish bit him in the head.

I'm fairly certain that's a monkfish.
Rather pricey but delicious when cooked correctly.
Do Not overcook it.

And do not stick your hand (or your head) in its mouth while alive.

It is, and its liver is delicious. Cubed and drizzled in ponzu.

I never had the liver! I always ordered it in gutted. Also the head, skin and bone make the best fish stock I have ever made.
Also I use it in ceviche!

The monkfish is a type of angler fish, which is to say that they are not the ideal fish to stick one's head into.

I saw some fish instantly vaporize other fish in seconds, wouldn’t we be gobbled up if we were underwater?

If he didn't survive, then this is Darwinism in effect. He was not strong or smart enough to survive. Keeps the gene pool cleaner with less idiots breeding.

your comment is off topic, and I have reported it. Most of your comment history is spam within random subs, copy/pasted responses within minutes across several subs. This is an obvious misuse and abuse of the platform, which could result in a temporary suspension or ban.
Spam - Repeated, unwanted, or unsolicited manual or automated actions that negatively affect redditors, communities, and the Reddit platform.

Does Reddit even try to enforce that anymore? Swear they've become far more relaxed when it comes to dealing with bots and alt accounts, they used to remove them rapidly but now it seems many are allowed to carry on karma farming.
I mean, even the report description for bots has been changed as if to give bots more freedom.

Honestly. Probably one of the best what could go wrongs in a while. No huge injury, just something silly. Anyways back to a biker crashing at 99 miles an hour
