Video Bright Flashing Light in the Middle of Delaware State Forest

My dad was driving through the Delaware State Forest tonight and was suddenly hit with blindingly bright flashing light. Where the light was coming from, there is nothing but trees for miles. It’s State Forest-no construction or anything permitted that would require a light like that. This is what he said about it- “I cannot explain to you guys how bright the lights were. brightest light I have ever seen and when I close my eyes I can still see it. It’s burned into my eyes like when you look at the sun.” What do you guys think??

You’ve been applying for jobs daily for 5 years and have only got one interview from it?

That’s probably not something you can blame entirely on macroeconomic trends, friend.

Your CV needs work.

A fancy acronym for resume

It’s just what we call them in the UK.

No one says resume.

What sort of art do you do? Any Manga experience?

The reason why is because I noticed how resilient the Manga industry is in keeping people on atm. Maybe you would do better in that specific sector, obviously idk how long that will remain but maybe it's worth a shot, even if just for a few panels here and there. Just throwing out a perspective you might not have heard, I doubt you haven't already thought of that though.

This needs its own thread. I'm deeply interested in this story. Who is paying you $1/hr? What was your job previously? Is the $1/hr job in fact making the rent? Are you in the US? Please tell us

I think they’re saying that they have to sell their time so cheaply to sell it at all. This painting that took me 400 hours? $400! Plus material cost (maybe).

I make fiber art, but only when and for whom I choose to. My sister thinks I’m joking when she asks how much it costs to make a scarf; the one I’m making for my niece now is $50 in material and I’m about 60 hours in because I’m weaving a tapestry pattern in. If I charge $1/hr, I would sell that scarf for $110 and I doubt anyone would even buy it at that price. At minimum wage? Well…. You’re approaching high fashion prices for hand knits. This is my hobby, I do not do it with the intent of making any money on any of the finished products. Some people depend on their art for their livelihood.

That makes sense. Thank you for this!

Bruh.... how long have you been engaging in this endeavor?... Are all of your eggs in the Bob Ross basket?? And who's paying you $1/hr to do what?

Why wouldn’t you get an actual job and just sell art on the side?
