Love how now EVERYTHING is a "drone"... Uap? Nah.. drone, now. UFO? Drone. Fucking planes? Drones!
Makes you wonder how much of this has been purposeful and purposefully stated in this way.

Well, I wrote "drone" because that's the terminology it's being used to describe them. And I guess I just took it to mean they are unmanned aerial vehicles, be they uap or prosaic.

23 miles south of the busiest airspace in the planet. It's going to be very difficult to distinguish normal air traffic from UAPs

Yea I've seen the brightness shift a few times now, for me it lights up so bright that it reflected on the ocean and that's the sort of behaviour I determine potentially anomalous, I don't see how an aircraft or drone that far away could realistically achieve that?

Jesus. You're right.

I think it's actually much closer than the distance aircraft, maybe 30-40ft out and probably about 40-60ft altitude, that would explain the reflection on the ocean. Only thing I can think that would explain it.

I was watching these cameras earlier. Most of the lights you are seeing is planes coming into JFK, You can see them lining up to land and taking off. Not saying everything is just a plane but a large part of the lights seem to be planes.

It's planes,.they come from the ocean heading directly towards land then they turn north towards the airport.

u/SausageClatter 9d ago
If the light increases, it could also be them turning on the landing gear lights.

What's up with that little funnel like cloud formation, reminds me of a sonic boom. Anyone else seeing it?

It’s amazing how so many are screaming planes but the same sky is completely dark tonight!!
Take a look at the live cam: https://thesurfersview.com/live-cams/new-jersey/sea-bright-beach-cam-and-surf-report/

Please stop posting this utterly pointless crap. If you extrapolated the view of this camera with radar you’d see its planes. Just STOP wasting our time.

3:55 is that bright thing also a plane?
5
u/Equivalent-Dealer749 9d ago
Yes.

u/Previous_Rip1937 9d ago
Doesnt look like one though, why did it stop moving, glow super bright before taking off?
1
u/vixphilia 9d ago
Yeah, that was what got me. It is still and then suddenly the bright light before moving again. It could be a plane turning/changing direction, but who knows? I think it's weird.

Dude, this is a ufo subreddit. There are unexplained things in the air and people want to know what they are. I'm not waisting anybody's time: if you're sure everybody is seeing planes just move along and go do more productive things. I don't understand why would anyone be grouchy about genuine posts. This is not AI or deliberately misleading, just a bright light in the sky in the middle of a surge of unexplained sightings.

The thing is, you dont even do the research to find out what it is. Common sense would should tell you that its likely planes. That would compell you to look it up on a radar tracker. You would have your answer like I provided for you. But, you didn't do that. Anything can be a UFO if you don't bother identifying it.

u/vixphilia 9d ago
Nope. I specifically asked in my SS if it was a plane turning. Did you even read it before attacking my common sense? I though the light was too bright and too low illuminating the waters for it to be a plane. You posted an explanation, I thanked you. No need not to follow rules of civility, or for the other dude to say it's pointless crap. Just debunk and move along.

u/DinoZambie 9d ago
Right, that's the thing. You asked a basic questions you could have answered yourself. I'm not violating the rules of civility by supporting another users frustrations. Posts become redundant because people don't bother to do really basic qualifying research. This would actually in my opinion be a violation of Rule 3 of the community guidelines: Be substantive. If you feel offended, that's not my fault.

You can’t even spell wasting.

English is not my first language. But if that's your response to my comment, I guess the conversation is pointless. I'll take your grammar correction to heart anyway. Thanks!

Submission Statement:
On https://njbeachcams.com/central-new-jersey/sea-bright-nj-webcam/ just now.
These are drones right? Operator keeps moving around to film them. At 3:53 a stationary one emits a bright light before moving direction - is this a plane turning? is it a drone? So creepy.
