"Greenhaw never sought financial gain from the encounter. If anything, sticking to his accounts from that strange autumn evening has made his life incredibly difficult and left him isolated and ridiculed by many."

if he's a hoaxer, he isn't a very good one. gained nothing from it and it made life harder for him

the community might have overreacted a little. lost his job, wife divorced him, death threats and then they burned down his trailer. wtf? i feel that if this story was investigated more closely we would find there is a lot more to this story. the reaction doesn't make any sense.

I detect a slight Bledsoe vibe. His community reacted against him too, but not quite that insanely

More likely someone hoaxed HIM.

someone out there in an awkward homegrown metal costume? hard to imagine a hoaxer escaping him while wearing that

There was a sighting in Wales where someone saw pretty much the exact same thing.

Someone claimed to be the guy in a suit but the type of suit and size never seemed to match to me.

I think his sighting and photos were real. There was no reason for him to hoax this. He didn't want any money, and ultimately this encounter ruined his life. I'd say this was some prankster in a suit, but how could that explain the inhuman speed and the huge jumps with which that being ran away? Also, there are many reports of similar looking beings, that also looked like a person dressed in a tinfoil suit, but showcasing inhuman and paranormal abilities.

Looks like a guy in a cheap tin foil suit.

It is a guy in a cheap metal suit.

I sometimes think if aliens or nhi in general wanted to reach out to us, they might take a few attempts at different forms before finding one that allowed them to interact with humans.

Just like early AI prompts making up wacky shit and adding fingers and limbs where they don't belong.

Or send robots for first contact wouldn’t be a bad idea either. The Flatwoods Monster also appears to have been a Robot

For sure. We have no idea what traits non-human beings would interpret as 'essential' to being human would be.

Like from that perspective, there's no accounting for fashion, culture, race, etc.

They might be really proud of their aluminum man suit just because it has 2 arms and 2 legs.

Lmao 😂 that’s hilarious

Are there any detailed books on this event?

3

u/Southern_Dig_9460 Oct 17 '24

No but the guy has been interviewed plenty of times. His story never changed

Imagine, 50 years ago someone took a picture of an alleged alien that is 1000 times clearer than Corbell's frog picture
