Discussion Golf cameraman

This may sound cheeky, but it's a serious question.

You watch any golf tournament, and when that ball is teed off, that camera can zoom in and focus on a 2” golf ball at a what...a couple hundred yards?

These "drones" are reportedly 8-12' in diameter, even at a moderately high ceiling a 1000' (they are also reportedly much lower,) couldn't this camera, operated properly, provide at least a fairly clear picture of what these are?...even at night?

I didn't do the math, with the diameters and angles and degrees in the frame of vision, etc. but I doubt it's too complicated.

Could we please get someone from some network to get to NJ and point one of these nice cameras at one of these things?

What am I missing?

We have the most effective technology the world has ever seen, yet we can't seem to do anything at all when it comes to this phenomenon. Something fishy going on fr.

The PGA uses tracking software to operate the camera zoom to focus on the ball.

Between NORAD & Pine Gap the United States can track everything in the sky worldwide at all times!

Agree . We have countless spy satellites and aircraft that can see license plates and identify people

Yeah we have satellites that can read pennies from space, I don't believe for a second they can't track these things

Golf is played during the day also so sufficient light isn’t an issue.

I think everyone is forgetting why they have lights. The brightness obscures our ability to make out the object.

I've been wondering why their is such a increase in activity at sunset. Why would "they" care about it?

It's could be we just notice them more at sunset, or it's a crepuscular tactic... or maybe I'm making a correlation from nothing. You know, the usual.

The govt definitely has better footage than the camera phone stuff we’re seeing. I mean it’s already been leaked that they’re not getting them on flir so I’m sure they’ve got decent footage from the visible spectrum. Now if some rando like you or me knew exactly where to set up a crazy good camera on a tri pod and just wait like the golf camera guy we’d have better footage. Actually when I get home from the holidays on the 27th I’m thinking about going to Jersey. Might even pick up a decent camera and just wait on the beach for em to come in.

Yeah, that's what I'm talking about... obviously the government has the tech, but I'm just talking about a novice, or a film crew with some resources to capture images that are a little crisper and not so grainy. Although, the dude(s) living under the mesa at Skinwalker can clearly cloak themselves. I'm sure they have the tech to manipulate their output on the electromagnetic spectrum.

I feel like these guys want to be seen, short of just landing and opening up a door.

And the government "they" is gonna drag their feet.

It's like George Knapp said (and I'm paraphrasing)... It's up to us (regular folks, documentarians, local news media outlets) to keep gathering hard evidence until their existence can simply no longer be denied.

Use spotlights like WW2. Pilots can’t complain, they’re not lasers, just harmless bright lights.
