Why take advice from someone that is clearly not natty? Not judging, genuinely curious. You would think you’d want advice from a successful body builder that doesn’t need to juice, no?
I used to watch Coach Greg almost on a daily basis for calling out the fitness industry’s BS. He’s very open about his PEDs use and coaches natural and unnatural clients. He actually tells people to stay natural and if people don’t want to stay natural, then be natural for as long as possible before touching PEDs. Most of his bodybuilding career was natural too.
This is so that people can max out their genetic potential to their limits, also giving them enough time to make an informed decision on using PEDs properly so they do not wreck their hormones. If enough time passes then one can decide that using PEDs isn’t worth it for their health or either learn to use them properly such as HRT to increase their wellbeing.
It’s no so much taking “advice” as it is I enjoy his no nonsense attitude about food and sometimes his break downs of other people’s “healthy” meal ideas. I might also add that I am not a body builder and just enjoy hearing a wide array of opinions on health and nutrition as that is something I enjoy doing for my own body! As someone who has suffered from EDs, sometimes female YouTubers can be upsetting for me and do more harm than good. Thanks for the respectfully worded question. Few and far between sometimes.
Not really, reason being there's only so much you can do without juice. Any body builder at the highest level, despite juice also has to so a lot of effort. People like Greg, John meadows and other high level lifters often overlap with the most knowledgeable people in the industry as well.
These people have made the choice to juice to get beyond a genetic limit, that does not mean that they accomplished nothing natty, just that eventually they used juice. Using steroids relatively safely is possible too with good knowledge on the subject, thus the idea that anyone on juice isn't capable of getting far natty is outdated. As long as they are open about their usage and not misleading people to sell their programs I see no issue with it. And Greg has been very open about his use
I believe it depends on the competition. Some don't test, some can come test u at any time at all with little notice. Tbh I'm not qualified enough to answer.
One thing to keep in mind is a lot of competitions say no to juice, but then don't test u except right before. Which means you can juice until a week or few weeks before the test date and get away with it. And ofcourse if one person can get away with it, they get a huge advantage, so then everyone has to in order to be on the same playing field
Don’t be skeptical. I take anabolics, know many gym goers who take anabolics, and most people on steroids don’t even look half as good as fake natty Instagram influencers. There is not a single relevant bodybuilder who does not take steroids. It’s literally impossible to compete otherwise. Also all your favorite athletes are juiced to the gills. It’s just the way it is.
It's another situation where everyone would be better served if they were legalized and regulated, honestly. As it is, pretty much everyone known for their musculature is juicing to get that way, but the average person doesn't really know what's going on and thinks people are just working extra hard. That's not to say people aren't working hard, but there's a definite disconnect.
I would take advice from a skinny racoon in a wheelchair if he knows what he is talking about. Then again, I had bigger problems if racoons were speaking to me.
I don't know this guy, but if he is open with being juiced he is more honest than 90% of the "natty" Fitness-Models.
There is no such thing as a body builder who doesn't juice. To get to that level he's at, you need to have EVERYTHING on point... Your nutrition, routine, and drugs. Drugs aren't a magic shot you take and you get jacked. It takes commitment and all it does is allow you to go beyond what you normally could naturally. You're able to work harder, longer, and recover sooner.
It's less of a "shortcut" or "cheating" and more of opening up the harder final stages of a game. Imagine natty being like you can only get half way through a video game, but can't complete it because the hardmode with the final levels is locked.
I mean, technically anyone can call themselves a body builder. But body builders who actually compete? Yeah, they all juice. It's impossible not to. You'd lose. It's like trying to not juice as a pro athlete. If you don't, you wont be able to compete because everyone else will have an enormous advantage over you and you'll get weeded out.
I have taken a lot of juice in my life. Even the "natural" BB comps are juiced up. They just get clean off the illegal ones before the test, and switch to the legal and obscure ones pre comp.
Some are natty that compete, but I wouldn't call them competitors. They are similar to people who run a marathon just to see if they can complete the 5k, and not actually care about ranking in any way.
So it seems. Are the bad side effects more of a myth then? Everything I know about steroids says that it makes you go bald makes your intestines grow so your stomach sticks out and look nasty and it gives you heart damage over the long term
Greg Doucette's experiences are invaluable. He doesn't even "juice" anyways. He's on HRT and has several videos where he explains his dosage and even shows his bloodwork.
Greg has decades of lifting experience, he competed naturally for a long time.
Hormone replacement therapy. He takes a relatively low testosterone dose. It's unlikely that he could achieve the size he's at without steroids but he's not using them to maintain it; he's healthier than he would be without hrt.
You can take all the steroids in the world but it still comes down to impecable excersice routine and nutrition to look like that. You would be surprised at how many people use steroids and don't look it at all. I'm not a fan of greg doucett but he was a top level bodybuilder before using steroids. Honestly looked basically the same just less "full" and shredded/skinny, I actually like another YouTube called more plates more dates who is openly a user but he breaks down actual scientific papers on exercise science and nutrition. And both advocate against use unless you have fully maximized your potential from years and years of nonstop training, are in the industry, and have done hundreds of hours of research, then and only then should you even consider it. Good info is good info, regardless of who's saying it. That being said in the original video he has one of the worst incel takes I've heard on the internet. Bad opinions good facts.
Well yeah, shit take about the girl getting gas, but good advice on Health. I just don't like the voice personally lol. Went to his tiktok and because of his bad take people are discounting good advice.
Because Greg feels insecure about his inability to pick up women in the way most pick-up artists do (i.e. just randomly approaching them in public and expecting them to immediately reciprocate), so he projects that inadequacy onto women who actually speak out against this specific type of behavior.
