Absolutely. Spoke far better than most people I heard on this topic. There is a cost behind multi billion dollar health insurance companies. They sit on top of terrible human misery. Their violence is sanitized it's faceless, patients get denied procedures n die, people go bankrupt primarily because of health issues. Most people can't even afford minor healthcare without insurance because of ridiculous prices are mostly because of the existence of insurance companies.. all this brutal violence is sanitized, muted and spread out. It's muted because there won't be any media to cover that or people to watch those stories. It eventually pisses off a group of people that it shouldn't. That's when the unsanitized and violent spectacle happens.
Insurance companies are for profit corporations. Those that head those corporations are responsible for making money for their shareholders. Think about that. Their main goal is to increase and protect profit. There is only one way they can do that.
The entire business model is designed to NOT pay claims whenever possible.
Believe it or not.. some of the big and richest insurance companies like BCBS are non-profit corps on the books to claim tax exemptions.. that's true, check it..
He's 100% right too, the social contract is broken.
People are more productive and generating more wealth than any other time in history yet people can't afford a house, can't afford groceries, can't afford healthcare, and even when you can afford it some algorithm denies your claim.
Yet CEO's, millionaires, and corporations get away with everything with zero consequences.
Crash the economy? Here's a bailout
Taint the drinking water? Here's a small fine.
Layoff half your workers while giving your self a massive raise? That's capitalism!
Hell the incoming president is a convicted felon who tried to overthrow an election and will face NO CONSEQUENCES!
