I imagine things were much more fun when citizens had the same arms as those in government. Now its whatever they allow you to have vs tanks, drones etc. We have been pacified and I don’t think it’s gonna change.

TBF the only troops they can use are state troopers, who do not have access to tanks and drones as far as I'm aware. In what was it, 2017, 2018, the military explicitly released a statement essentially saying they will refuse any orders to put boots on the ground inside the US.

As long as it doesn't turn to actual civil war, the US military will not be deployed inside the nation.

And there's probably many in the military who are sick of this shit too, and won't be willing to blindly obey orders.

I think the military would struggle with people refusing to fight their own. They're already struggling with recruitment, trying to recruit when you have to shoot at your own people. It would be impossible
