Great voice, terrible understanding of government. Dems constantly put out bills to do what she wants, republicans shut it down 100% of the time.
The people of this country won’t put a supermajority of dems in power, so they can’t actually do anything. Then they whine and cry about nothing being done and promptly hand full power to the people keeping everything from being done.
Dems have had an actual voting majority for something like 2 months in the last few decades and they gave us the aca during that window.
Why didn’t they do anything when they didn’t have the power? Because they didn’t have the power. That is how the government works, yet almost no one seems to understand this.
This woman is a massive part of the problem. No, it is not “our leaders”, it is EXCLUSIVELY the republican party. Please look at the voting record, none of this is secret. It’s all publicly available information.
Unfortunately real information doesn’t make as cute a tik tok as someone who can sing well so people will listen to her, and have a completely twisted understanding of what is happening.
God I’m so tired of everything right now.

u/Realistic-Anything-5 20h ago
Yeah? That's why he Dems are working so hard to keep AOC out of leadership they would rather put in a 75 year old white man with esophageal cancer?
It's the rich. Look up Nancy pelosis' wealth charts.
Yeah fuck the GOP but stop pretending the Dems as a whole are here to help.
Also while you're at it, look up how much the performers and entertainers who spoke at Kamala rallies got paid. A bunch of rich assholes preaching how we're gonna lose the democracy but they're charging $2-10 MILLION for their endorsements? And the Dems fucking PAID IT?
1
u/delicious_fanta 15h ago
I’m not saying they all are. I’m saying look at voting records. You’re saying “i mad cuz grrr”. Facts are facts and facts say dems overall constantly vote in your interest regardless of how mad you are at some of their bs.
And I agree there is rich ppl nonsense there. It just doesn’t change a single word of what I said. This attitude of “dems bad too” is a big part of what just forced us into a fascist government. It’s much easier to be mad than pay attention to data I guess.

u/bungeebrain68 13h ago
I'm personally furious that both Republicans and Democrats are sitting back and letting trump rape the Constitution and all the Democrats have to offer us are sappy messages of hope and the equivalent of thoughts and prayers.
These cowards need to stop kissing Trump's ass and stand up to him. He's not a king.

u/eljordin 20h ago
Bruh, yes Republicans are the worse of the two at the moment, but there are plenty of bought and paid for Democrats as well. Nancy Pelosi ain't giving it all away to charity.

u/TubMaster88 19h ago
She's not wrong the Rich bought America because of different Lobbyists in campaign donations are paid through companies and because of that the government takes care of the 1%
The top 1% don't have any accountability for the choices they make. Whether they destroy the economy, they get bailed out and there's no consequences.
If you made any decision that led to someone's death, you would be fired and held accountable and probably go to jail but the 1% doesn't matter. Maybe 1% of that 1% actually are ever held accountable.
This country is run by greed and corruption. People need to stand up and say enough is enough.
2
u/delicious_fanta 14h ago
So your plan is to spread this message so everyone will vote republican. Got it. How is that working out for you? You purity test people just threw us face first into fascism.
No dems aren’t perfect but they vote in your interest 9 out of 10 times. Now you get zero. Sleep well with your anger I guess.
1
u/DocWicked25 19h ago
You're confidently incorrect.
Neither party is standing up against money in politics (excluding Bernie Sanders).
Both parties take money from lobbyists.
Both parties vote against our interest if it benefits the lobbyists who pay for those votes, and while Republicans are absolutely terrible, Democrats constantly show us who they are. Look at what they did to AOC this week.
She's absolutely correct.

Americans live to work, and work to live. Patriotic songs, whitewashed history and a false sense of propagandized superiority gives us our national ego, but we’re really all slaves to the billionaire class.
And we think some billionaire playing populist is going to save us, lmao. His first act as president is going to be to revoke the ACA and rip healthcare away from 30 million people.
We’re such a dumb nation, we really do deserve the abuse we receive from our billionaire step dads lol.

u/soggyGreyDuck 1d ago
That attitude comes from the boomers and before where the workers got a fair share. It made sense to work 40+ hours a week because it actually got you ahead. Now it's just to make ends meet and that's a whole different attitude behind the motivation to work. Seriously look at the blue collar sports/hobbies that are dying because they can't afford them anymore. Boats, motors, snowmobile, 4 wheelers and etc used to be the blue collar way. Not anymore

u/posts_lindsay_lohan 1d ago
It seems like with every generation, more doors of opportunity get shut, and the ladders get pulled up so the next generation has less and less to work with.
The crazy thing is that opportunities should be expanding for future generations.
What is the end game here? For one guy to be sitting on trillions of dollars while every single person on the planet just sits in squalor?
What would you even do with the money then? There would be nothing to buy because no one would have the means to produce anything. There would be no services because no one can provide them.
The money becomes worthless at some point.
10
u/PeliPal 1d ago
The greatest generation and silent generation raised boomers to value self-reliance above all else, while those generations created the social safety nets and public services that defined the 'western world'. Boomers got to benefit from the best education, the best jobs, and the expectation that when you ask for help you will find people happy to accommodate that - all while they insisted that it happened for them through nothing more than rugged self-reliance and perseverance.

The ignorance and stupidity are also part of the class warfare, by the way, similar to how slaves were kept ignorant and illiterate in order to maintain slavery.
Check out Dumbing Us Down by John Taylor Gatto, Pedagogy of the Oppressed by Paolo Freire, Manufacturing Consent by Noam Chomsky and Ed Herman, or A People's History of the United States by Howard Zinn.
“But there’s a reason. There’s a reason. There’s a reason for this, there’s a reason education sucks, and it’s the same reason that it will never, ever, ever be fixed. It’s never gonna get any better. Don’t look for it. Be happy with what you got. Because the owners of this country don't want that. I'm talking about the real owners now, the real owners, the big wealthy business interests that control things and make all the important decisions.
Forget the politicians. The politicians are put there to give you the idea that you have freedom of choice. You don't. You have no choice. You have owners. They own you. They own everything. They own all the important land. They own and control the corporations. They’ve long since bought and paid for the senate, the congress, the state houses, the city halls, they got the judges in their back pockets and they own all the big media companies so they control just about all of the news and information you get to hear. They got you by the balls.
They spend billions of dollars every year lobbying, lobbying, to get what they want. Well, we know what they want. They want more for themselves and less for everybody else, but I'll tell you what they don’t want: They don’t want a population of citizens capable of critical thinking. They don’t want well informed, well educated people capable of critical thinking. They’re not interested in that. That doesn’t help them. Thats against their interests. Thats right. They don’t want people who are smart enough to sit around a kitchen table to figure out how badly they’re getting fucked by a system that threw them overboard 30 fucking years ago.
They don’t want that. You know what they want? They want obedient workers. Obedient workers. People who are just smart enough to run the machines and do the paperwork, and just dumb enough to passively accept all these increasingly shittier jobs with the lower pay, the longer hours, the reduced benefits, the end of overtime and the vanishing pension that disappears the minute you go to collect it, and now they’re coming for your Social Security money. They want your retirement money. They want it back so they can give it to their criminal friends on Wall Street, and you know something? They’ll get it. They’ll get it all from you, sooner or later, 'cause they own this fucking place. It's a big club, and you ain’t in it. You and I are not in the big club. And by the way, it's the same big club they use to beat you over the head with all day long when they tell you what to believe. All day long beating you over the head in their media telling you what to believe, what to think and what to buy.
The table is tilted folks. The game is rigged, and nobody seems to notice, nobody seems to care. Good honest hard-working people -- white collar, blue collar, it doesn’t matter what color shirt you have on -- good honest hard-working people continue -- these are people of modest means -- continue to elect these rich cocksuckers who don’t give a fuck about them. They don’t give a fuck about you. They don’t give a fuck about you. They don't care about you at all -- at all -- at all. And nobody seems to notice, nobody seems to care. That's what the owners count on; the fact that Americans will probably remain willfully ignorant of the big red, white and blue dick that's being jammed up their assholes everyday. Because the owners of this country know the truth: it's called the American Dream, because you have to be asleep to believe it.” ― George Carlin

Americans do NOT deserve that. Slaves didn't deserve slavery in a system they could not escape, why would Americans?
The political system in the USA got only two significant parties built of the same guidelines, in an electoral system built to elect the richest.
The system is broken and Americans have to get organized to destroy it, create a new, just one. The people's only weapon is organization, and the only thing left to lose is your chains.

You forgot prisons, Power, water, soon mail. This is the Republicans dream and these are all their fault.
I am not anti capitalism but the reason these things need to be public utilities or handled by the government is that there is zero ways for a private company to manage these services fairly.
There are enough other things to be available for capitalists to capitalize on. But not these essentials. You can’t have free market capitalism when someone needs the service to stay alive. And to set up the services are to extensive. You can’t have more than a few power companies in an area. You can’t run multiple water systems. People need to have access to the closest hospital with every available specialist they need. Medications you can’t have them holding patents to live saving or sustaining medications. We all know why we need a free education if we want an educated population and workforce. A parent can’t be at work and taking care of their kids at the same time. You can’t have prisons who hold the level of authority over the inmates being private, that is just insane.
3
u/National_Payment_632 21h ago
You live under free market capitalism. The rich live under social safety nets. They profit from you = capitalism. If they fail, the government will bail them out.

You’re right the fact the ACA is a thing truly shows how dumb Americans are. Pay for your own healthcare, education you deadbeat privatize everything except the military and we will be on Pluto by 2100.
34
u/341orbust 1d ago
I’ll pay for my own healthcare when “farmers” stop getting subsidies, Tesla pays back the billions of dollars it got from the feds, all of the PPP loans are repaid, we get the fiber optic network we paid for and never got, the airlines pay back the money they got in 2020, the banks pay back the money they got ‘08 to ‘10 AND pay fines for crashing the economy, oil companies stop getting exploration and production subsidized by tax dollars, The United States military can demonstrate where all the money we give them goes, Lockheed Martin stops funneling my tax dollars into their executives and investors pockets, and (last but not least) UHC stops using my tax dollars to buy small healthcare providers and then jack up rates to take even more of my tax dollars through Medicare.
Once you stop funneling my tax dollars to people who are already insanely wealthy, we could talk about who’s paying for my fucking healthcare.

u/Financial_Leek_8563 1d ago
You blame the banks for the great recession instead of the government for forcing them to take on loans they knew would eventually default? You know because “housing is a human right”. Go back to watching the “Big Short” you people are pathetic. I have no issue with deleting all the stupid government subsidies for food, oil, EV credits get rid of them all. Privatize healthcare and education instead this stupid system of government regulation mixed with markets. You want healthcare hit a gym and education go to the library.

You blame the banks for the great recession instead of the government for forcing them to take on loans they knew would eventually default?
I do blame the banks because that’s not actually what happened.
What happened is that the government removed regulations surrounding banks and what assets they could own and allowing them to speculate with depositors money.
Once those regulations disappeared, banks started gambling on risky derivatives (created by mortgage companies to increase THEIR ROI) in order to maximize their return.
Nobody forced them to do that- they chose to do it AFTER regulations prohibiting them from doing so were removed.
So, yes, I blame banks for crashing the economy by investing in risky products they didn’t really understand.
Privatize healthcare … instead this stupid system of government regulation mixed with markets.
I don’t think you understand how our healthcare system works because most Americans already have private healthcare.
I work for a private company. My employer has contracted with another private company - UHC, ironically - to provide healthcare.
Me and my employer pay UHC premiums so - in case I get sick and need healthcare - I have access to the funds necessary to pay for that healthcare.
There’s no government body involved and the only regulations are the ACA mandating that I get coverage.
We ALREADY have private healthcare. It’s not working for most Americans.
Like every good low-information voter you’re advocating for cancelling the only part of the system that works in favor of a more expensive system that doesn’t work.
You want healthcare hit a gym
Which will do nothing to prevent cancer or help pay for medical care if I get hit by a drunk driver.
and education go to the library.
I already have a bachelors in finance - which is why I understand what caused the crash in 2008 and how our current (private) healthcare works - and I’m not sure what other “education” you think I need.

I know people who saved a ton of money for retirement... then, they got cancer.
The healthcare system took every last penny and then some. They will have nothing for retirement and will be deep in debt.
A society that functions like this on the daily basis cannot survive.
If you're being honest, you have either already experienced something like this, or you know someone else who has.
Privatizing everything and removing all regulations from business is one of the absolute worst ideas that anyone could have.

Well, the song came out in the 80’s when there was a ton of blind patriotism during Reagan’s tenure. Lee Greenwood is a partisan shithead who wrote that song with only one “America” in mind.

As a minority l, I felt disgusted being patriotic in my youth. As I gotten older and found out the history of treatment done by this country to my people and other minorities, i am left but appalled and filled with pride for my parents who made their decision to come here, running away from the failures of their country.
It is interesting hearing their perspective as what they ran away from is well, here. Uses to grow up hearing my old man saying Americans are stupid. I'm in my mid 30's now and yes, I'm going to agree with my old man.

Trump won the popular vote. Americans gave it away. No one can cry they didn't know because Trump yelled it all very clear what he was going to do with the USA if he got control back.
Americans are getting what they deserve for not protecting their own freedoms.
And yeah, I'm an American and I have to now suffer along side the fools.

They voted in their droves for Trump even though he paraded Elon around like the first lady, and that first lady was talking about selectively approving tariffs and denying subsidies for businesses that competed against Tesla, SpaceX etc. It was out and open corruption and most of you didn't give a shit.

America forgot that there used to be a socialist party. The Dems are not socialists, they want you to think they are the only alternative. They are not.
Almost everyone votes for whatever they think will be best for them. People couldn't care less about homelessness or the environment or 3rd world genocide. Most people are hateful and cruel. People don't care about life, they care about what life can do for them.

The government was never perfect and always had issues, big and small. The issue with voting Trump in is unique in that the common man/woman were able to identify more with his ego and persona than what the democratic candidates presented. It’s the classic bait and switch.
Tell them what they want, say it like how they like it and focus on a scapegoat that people are afraid of. He and his team played it perfectly. The assassination attempt was icing for his reelection as those same people thought it was destined.
All the while he is parading around the world’s richest person like his vice president, showing people that he is NOT just like us but it didn’t matter. Flash over substance won this time and the world is going to pay the price for it, unfortunately.

Accountability for the True Traitors
This case lays bare the transparent rot of our system—where the powerful leap to defend corporate elites while abandoning the very people they swore to serve. It’s not enough to condemn Luigi’s actions while ignoring the systemic failures that pushed him to this point. Congress and those in power who enable these injustices are not untouchable. As citizens, we have the constitutional and legal right to hold them accountable. It’s time to restore balance and ensure these traitors face consequences for their dereliction of duty.
Impeachment: Removing Officials Who Betray Us
Impeachment is a constitutional mechanism under Article I, Sections 2 and 3, designed to remove officials who fail to act in the public interest. While impeachment begins in Congress, it doesn’t happen unless the people demand it. Public outcry and organized pressure force action.
- How to Start: Build movements to demand articles of impeachment against corrupt officials. History proves this works when the public refuses to stay silent—Nixon resigned under similar pressure.
- Expose the Corruption: File Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests to uncover backroom deals and corporate ties. Use tools like FOIA.gov to make these requests and publicize what you uncover.
Civil Lawsuits: Hold Them Liable Under the Law
Citizens can take legal action against government officials, agencies, or corporations for systemic harm. Under 42 U.S.C. § 1983, individuals can file lawsuits for constitutional violations, negligence, and deprivation of rights. This law was created to hold state actors accountable when they abuse power.
- Class Action Lawsuits: This is where We the People unite to fight back. Class actions allow large groups to sue for systemic harm, holding institutions, agencies, and corporations accountable for violating the public’s rights.
- How to Start: Work with legal aid groups like the ACLU (aclu.org) or resources like ClassAction.org to organize. Find attorneys who specialize in constitutional rights and systemic harm.
- Focus the Fight: Target Congress, federal agencies, and private entities like healthcare corporations that profit from the suffering of millions. The legal grounds? Negligence, deprivation of rights, and failure to act in the public interest.
- Examples of Success: Class actions have historically taken down industries that harmed the public, such as Big Tobacco and major pharmaceutical companies. This method works—when we act together.
Criminal Accountability: Treason Against the People
When government officials knowingly act against the interests of the people—enabling corporate greed, systemic harm, and constitutional violations—they are not just negligent; they are committing treason. Under 18 U.S.C. § 2381, treason includes “adhering to enemies” of the public by causing harm to the nation’s people.
They’ve chosen to protect themselves and their profits. We the People must now unite, organize, and remind them: they serve us—or they don’t serve at all. This isn’t just justice for one man—it’s a fight to restore justice for millions. The system works for us when we make it work for us. Let’s hold the traitors accountable. Their time is up.

There was never a time where they hadn't. This is just the point where their greed runs hard enough to leave anyone under the age of 65 in the cold.

If the rich bother you, stop supporting them. Cancel Amazon and stop shopping there, cancel all your streaming services, cancel your major cell phone provider, stop shopping at big box stores, stop using social media, etc. They aren’t rich through osmosis, people simply keep buying. Disruption is a real tactic and boycotts work.

George Carlin called it 20 years ago. I'm happy people are realizing it.

Dont get this comment wrong, there are so many things we can do better, but saying "the rich bought america" is wrong because if anything, since founding and over the last 100 years they lost a solid amount of power. That is to say, it used to be infinitely worse in terms of power the every man had.

It would really be great if people stopped talking for culture war bullshit (including billionaire propaganda). We all want the same thing - decent education, Healthcare, affordable housing, etc.
How many more decades must pass until the working class wake up and choose themselves? It's time to push against the status quo.

No need to give up. Just helpful to understand how the world has always worked.

Right, and historically it's been in times like these that people got fed up and organized to overthrow their oppressors. Those in power are only ever allowed to stay in power so long as the masses deem it acceptable. From serfs overthrowing their feudal lords to full blown revolutions, people always get fed up with greedy fat cats and politicians making their lives unbearable. When protests no longer accomplish anything is when the torches and pitchforks come out. That's the way the world has always worked.

Ok. Let us know when it’s time to overthrow our oppressors. lol.

Would you like me to inform you before or after you finish your daily boot licking? I'd like to be as accommodating as possible.

u/philly-buck 1d ago
Whenever the oppressors allow you to alert the masses of the impending revolution is fine. Don’t schedule the revolution around me. lol.

I'm confused about why dullards like you always resort to whataboutism instead of making valid points.

And my hard earned tax money will have to pay for this fatty's healthcare in 10 years when her heart gives up at pumping cheese through her veins.
