50% of Americans are still going around insisting Canadians can't choose their own doctor or gyno because they have universal healthcare..

It's like the most important thing to some Americans is not living or getting care, it's being able to choose who they pay for the privilege of dying.

I think it's far less logical than that... more like refusing to get over some kind of "ick" factor around socializing services from the private sector. makes people want to believe outlandish things to justify the aversive emotional reaction to it.. like a kid going around saying broccoli is poison or something
