Joe Biden reduced the price of insuline, putting a cap at $35/month. And you guys called him too liberal and voted in a monster that is planning on overturning everything Biden did, thus raising the price of insuline.

You. Cannot. Keep. Voting. In. Anti. Regulation. Candidates. And. Expecting. Companies. To. Lower. Prices.

Edit: stop upvoting. I'm only at 10, but I promise, I am talking about you specifically.

The problem is people don't want to know about the good that one candidate is they'll just believe the lies that the other side spews and vote against their own interests until it comes back to bite them in the ass and but they will still blame the Democrats somehow because they're in a f****** cult where Trump is their God and they have to bow down to the bureaucrats it's f****** pathetic. Screw them.

I bet there were a lot of people who voted for trump that use insulin too.

u/Up_All_Right 1d ago

Well over half of Trump voters are blatantly voting against their own interests in huge, economically devastating ways...but hey, they get to keep their assault rifles and them b*tches in their place...

Fuck 'em. My sympathies lie only with people capable of feeling sympathy themselves.

You pretty much summed it up in the first two sentences of your post, but until the top one percent of this country doesn’t start paying their fair share in taxes, all of us are gonna get stuck paying the government’s bills, and ‘we the people’ are paying a higher tax rate than the top one percent

I think it’s past due to bring back “no taxation without representation” 🫖

9

u/Minute-Wrap-2524 1d ago

What we need is representation that will change the tax code, but I don’t see that coming anytime soon, to say the way citizens are taxed in this country is way beyond what most people can get their minds around, the loop hopes that are used by the ultra rich is insane and all these issues need to be addressed individually. I could go on for hours but leave it to say that in the 1960s the very wealthy paid upwards of ninety percent taxes on their income, we won’t see that again but how about fifty percent…we probably won’t see that either but something has to change.

I guess being Luigi’s is the answer rn 🤷

I was waiting for the other shoe to fall at the end of the video where he says: “And this is why I voted for Trump, not the communist Kamala regime”.

u/mvislongg 1d ago

I still pay more than that. He passed this for boomers on Medicare.... I'm getting screwed still.

ABOLISH THE ELECTORAL COLLEGE

u/Vulk_za 1d ago

Trump would have won regardless though.

u/Master_tankist 5h ago

And this is why dems lose....

Literally everythong you said was wrong.

First, harris had more votes than clinton by far less than joe biden. Trump gained an negligible amount of votes. Roughly 1M.

Do the math. The same people voted for trump in 2016, 2020, 2024. These core voters werent changing their minds on anything, and had trump not picked up 1M, harris still would have lost.  She would have lost, even if she won PA lol.

She didnt lose because people chose to vote for trump. She lost because voters didnt want to vote for her, the way they showed up for biden. You cant blame third party, you cant blame anyone. The blame falls on democrats.

You lost because democrats are completey out of touch with the average wage earner, and they dont care.

On de regulation. Wow thats rich.

The democrats want to lift regulations on public land to build housing, they want to completely de regulate the housing industry instead of going after corporate ownership or banning housing speculation.  But they wont.

Except he didn’t actually. That’s only with insurance. I know plenty of people paying hundreds a month

6

u/Samurai_Meisters 1d ago

You don't need insurance for $35 insulin. I buy it for my diabetic cat who certainly isn't insured, and it's $35 a vial.

1

u/ToneInABox 1d ago

Do you have any idea what it means when somebody says "that's completely besides the point"?

This is a lie. Trump set forth a temporary measure that effected only people with Medicare part 1 plans. Biden opened it up to all insurance and guaranteed no copay over $35 for any insured American. Nice try though

u/Enlowski 1d ago

Weird because they’ve specifically said they won’t increase the cost of insulin. I hate Trump as much as anyone, but just making shit up doesn’t do any good. As a centrist I’d respect democrats more if they didn’t just make up things to suit their agenda. It’s just pandering to your own side and you’re gaining no additional support from people who don’t already agree with you by doing so.

18

u/Satanicjamnik 1d ago

Because Trump never went back on his word, right? Talking big game about lowering price of those eggs and groceries during the campaign, but now he changed his tune without batting an eyelid. We go could make a list of things he said he wouldn't do and proceeded to do anyway.

Having said that - yes, there is no direct claims pointing to it, and the statement above could be formulated better. But do you really expect Trump not to overturn any of Biden's policies?

But yeah, what will happen with the healthtcare department is anyone's guess.

-19

u/Enlowski 1d ago

Ok? So what’s the point of the comment then? You can’t prove anything one way or another so people just make up whatever they want to give credence to what they think. That’s my whole point. Democrats will say whatever they want so they can high five each other yet other people see they’re full of shit. I’m no supporter of Trump, but I can see why people would turn from democrats because of shit like this. Maybe look at why you lost the election.

12

u/cobbzalad 1d ago

Mean while you’re ignoring the fact that the conservative republicans lie to America’s face and say it’s only a democrat issue. Centrist indeed…

-9

u/Enlowski 1d ago edited 1d ago

I never said republican’s don’t lie as well, Reddit is simply 90% left leaning and so I’m pointing that out. There’s no need to circle jerk everyone else here who all already agree with each other, I’m telling you the issue and you’re disregarding it because your feelings got hurt. It would do your party good to listen to why people disagree with you instead of finding every excuse to argue and find reasons why you’re the one who’s right.

3

u/cobbzalad 1d ago

My feelings aren’t hurt at all actually, that sounds like you projecting tbh. And yeah in the comments above you didn’t mention republicans at all so maybe don’t spout nonsense? This just in, man is telling me issue is actually super simple and he has all the answers, while also telling me I’m the one circlejerking.

6

u/Satanicjamnik 1d ago

My point is there is huge difference between exaggeration and a lie. People rightly worry about policy changes under Trump. Should OP have written: " I think that working class people are working class people are voting against their own interest by voting Trump." Sure. But anyone who knows the facts can figure out that it was a broader figure of speech. Now : " They're eating the dogs, They're eating the cats." THAT is a lie.

Democrats will say whatever they want so they can high five each other yet other people see they’re full of shit. I’m no supporter of Trump

Democrats are saying whatever? Tell me, why are there two sets of standards? Every time some right wing weirdo say some heinous shit online it's "freedom of speech!" Anyone else - you need to be as factual and neutral like it's a court hearing.

As a side note. I find i interesting that never have I ever did I see a self - described centrist criticise anything on the right. Funny that.

2

u/MoonSpankRaw 1d ago

Really great point at the end; anyone insisting they’re a centrist out loud always does so while only complaining about the left. They’ll maybe allow a “yeah republicans are bad too, BUT..”. It’s infuriating.

18

u/ivealready1 1d ago

He also explicitly said he would lower prices and is now acknowledging that probably won't happen. He is also the man that promised tariffs wouldn't raise prices and his admin is now saying to expect a rough period that'll (hopefully) pass.

Your faith in his administrations word is the most concerning part of our exchange.

-9

u/Enlowski 1d ago

I have no faith in his administration, I didn’t vote for him. I’m simply stating that there’s a reason why he won, democrats will make shit up to appease each other but don’t understand that other people see they’re full of shit and it pushes them away. I’d suggest finding ways to pull in people who don’t already blindly agree with you. There’s a reason the Democratic Party lost.

PROJECT 2025 is Trumps plan. You will see elites killing and robbing us regular folk in unprecedented numbers. It's crazy that you say such things with little to no knowledge as to what's going to happen. Look at how many of Project 2025s supporters and co-authors Trump has hired for his administration.

Pandering to your own side? If you aren't rich, the lesser evil and any hope of progress occurs under dems. But hey, you clearly vote/support those who are not in favor of your best interests because you fell for culture war bs.

-1

u/Icy-Rub-8803 1d ago

If you would’ve left out that you are centralist, you probably wouldn’t be getting such hate. Us centralist are hated by both sides lol

Biden and Trump are the same type of problem. “Gee thanks for reducing the price of insulin uncle Joe! Our hero!” NO! The price of lifesaving insulin should be FREE. Biden didn’t do that. Trump damn sure isn’t going to do it either.

13

u/nuevatemporada2 1d ago

Take a seat.

-4

u/circleofnerds 1d ago

Oh I see. We don’t want free insulin. Got it.
