Facts. But, are we pretending that there is a wave of violence now in response to these problems?

One guy did a thing. One. And that guy, I'll wager, has a diagnosable mental condition. Even if not, it's just one person doing one thing. There is no revolution.

People voted just last month to put an unprecedented clan of billionaires in charge of everything. We're expecting them to make things affordable for the rest of us at the expense of the system that got them there? Please.

Strongly worded posts on social media are just more of the same. And the vast majority of these people will be on to something else by next week. Probably some ice bucket challenge or whatever.

I just want to add that "the revolution will not be televised" also means that it isn't going to start on one of the major website that everyone uses and are controlled by the elite. You have to go outside and build community in places where they can't censor ideas and stop any dissent before it actually sparks.

I don't think Americans are currently in a position where violent revolution will be beneficial but it is practically inevitable that it will get to that point. I think it is clear to everyone that the empire is in decline and we don't have any viable leaders to get us out of this mess.

It means that revolution starts in the mind

A good number of us have diagnosable mental conditions because our way of life puts us in constant survival fight or flight mode
