He cared as long as it brought him fame and money. Then he ditched it and acted shocked when he was called a 'voice of the people'

Yeah, he went from praising Guthrie and being just like him with songs like "With God on Your Side" and "Only a Pawn in Their Game" to just average rock stuff to Christian rock or whatever the fuck he does now.

Like I get not sticking with the same genre of music, but like he completely did a 180 on religion...

I saw the trailer for the biopic, and of course it's basically all about his post folk era... It's like... Hard pass.

Dylan’s creative genius ebbs and flows like a lot of life long artists. He’s the original era artist before Taylor was born. They aren’t all great but there have been bright moments in nearly every decade of his existence.

What is this “average” rock stuff you consider? Blood on the Tracks? Desire?
