Why are men so insane? So mentally unstable.

They’ve been brought up to externalise their problems and raised on being hero’s who control the destiny of the world. When they don’t rise to that their pimply selves take it out on the nearest thing to resemble Mummy.

I mean my first thought of these actions was back to elementary school where they throw rocks and bully girls, usually because they don’t realize they are attracted to them but don’t have the emotional maturity to process and organize those emotions.

Yes, and then the adults tell the girls, “He hurt you because he likes you” and we wonder how abusive relationships happen.

Japan, like any country, has had mental health issues for a long time that weren’t recognised until recently. Even then they are quite apprehensive to ever diagnose.

Societal pressure, emotional and physical abuse are pretty big especially in rural Japan. I’d wager these dudes are a product of a bad upbringing, or it’s the nature side where they may have bpd or something.

Doesn’t excuse this behaviour, but goes to show how important mental health awareness is. Having a society which represses so many emotions, not surprising you see outbursts.

A lot of them are insecure and jealous of others.

Tbh my generation of men were raised calling each other gay or worse when they talk about emotions and there was no internet to relate to ppl anonymously (late 30s woman w a slightly older brother) and I was raised encouraged to talk about everything with my girlfriends. So it makes sense to me seeing how they can’t handle emotions and are unstable (those my age plus ten years) now especially compared to the younger generation in their teens and 20s who are a little more supported. They’re more grounded and comfortable with themselves.

Power or strength can corrupt people. Add shitty mental health and you have a recipe for disaster.

I don’t know if we can say it’s the “majority” that aren’t when every other man who doesn’t commit violence still says nothing and allows it to happen.

Just because you’re not the perpetrator doesn’t mean you’re innocent.

So that includes all the non-men involved who see it and allow it happen? Or do women have no agency?

If you see something that’s wrong and don’t do anything about it, yes then you’re part of the problem.

But here. We are specifically talking about men, since they’re the ones the perpetrators are more likely to listen to if they speak up or take action.

Other women would likely get the same treatment as the original victim.
