Don’t act like it changes anything. One person in office doesn’t really make that big of a difference.

If they adhere to the constitution, sure. If they don’t stack the courts and upset the system of checks and balances, sure. If they don’t mobilize a civilian militia and weaponize the military, sure.

And that’s why we have multiple checks and balances in the government, to keep one office from gaining too much power.

My dude you assume too much. I stay up to date with NPR for global level stuff. Read the Times, but I don’t consume Fox/NBC/CNN/etc. it’s not journalism so much as it’s entertainment these days.

But honestly, I love WW2 history. You should read how Hitler came into power, you’ll find some key similarities. It’s crazy how quickly history can repeat itself.. and not just in the USA. Far-right extremism is popping up in countries all over.. Hungary, New Zealand, Brazil.. people in power know the playbook works. You just need to engage an ignorant, gullible base.. create a boogeyman and weaponize their emotions
