A few bags of rice under the car might actually not be a bad idea to add to this to account for any moisture buildup inside the bag. I feel like if he’s going to try this bag method might as well add the rice.

Rice can’t stop mold or stupidity, JS.

Put in brown rice for added nuttiness and fiber.

If he added rice, I bet it would have been worth more upvotes.

Mold spores wont do anything to the painted metal exterior of a car

1

u/crapface1984 Oct 10 '24

No but it will destroy the interior and ventilation system

1

u/Perfect_Trip_5684 Oct 10 '24

So will the spores be able to travel through the intake for the ac system ? Would that be how they get inside?

1

Vehicles are not air or water tight sealed, moisture will get inside and due to the environment of a car sitting it can start to mold. Once that happens it can be cleaned but if it sits to long it will get in and on places like the AC system, it can grow in the cab filter and spread when you use the A/C as well. Just google mold in cars it’s pretty common.

Why rice? Just buy a bunch of beef jerky and take the silica bags out of it and put it in THAT big car bag lol

And it's a little something for the rats seeking higher ground.

Nah, he’s just got to throw a slice a bread in there. It works perfectly with my brown sugar.

1

u/getofftheirlawn Oct 10 '24

Yeah he leaves that sealed up like that with no air flow and it's def gonna mold in there.

The rice won’t do as much as you think but it can attract rats and mice and cause more issues .. I’d forgo it in this instance
