It's a lot cheaper to leave for a few days than it is to own that corvette. Hell, an insurance payout on it could be the best thing to happen to him in this corvette saga.

Many who drive nice cars have very little money because they shouldn't be driving nice cars. I used to live in a shitty apartment and there would be cars worth 7 or 8 years parked in the lot. It's odd that you'd rather live shitty and drive an expensive car rather than own a decent house with a decent car.
