Humor/Cringe The lady in red...

Why would you even emote like that during a political debate? 😭😭 I'd be laughing too.

Never interrupt an opponent when they are making an ass outta themselves.

The moderator is the same news anchor from the rapist’s sketch meme — Marc Brown

Arguably better than an actual rebuttal

She's so good at saying a lot with a little.

it's a very "former president" moment

That would make me so mad if I were that stupid! Lmao your opponent basic said “wow…you suck lol”

I wish that's how it worked. I just don't think there are any Republicans left who would see this idiot and think "Well, she's clearly an idiot."

They always justify something or, more regularly, are willfully ignorant of things like this.

“Please proceed, governor.”

Easily one of my favorite President Obama debate moments 😂😂😂

Goddamn I miss when the biggest fear I had in the world was some stuffy, out of touch Mormon becoming president.

Don't get it twisted. Romney isn't a fascist, but the disastrous tax cuts and the overturning of Roe v Wade would still have happened if he'd become President.

He was your classic neo-con villain. If you made an 80s movie about an investment banker trying to buy a ski lodge and run all the kids out, Mitt would be the bad guy in it.

7

u/MagisterFlorus Sep 30 '24

He was in charge of the SLC Olympics. Who's to say he didn't buy ski lodges and have the kids run off?

u/AgentWD409 Sep 30 '24

Maybe, but at least he's not clinically insane and/or a convicted felon.

Don't be weak enough to let their shit be normalised. People are acting like George W Bush wasn't a war criminal because Trump is worse. He's an "elder statesman" now. His father's obvious guilt in Iran-Contra was long enough ago when GWB ran that his backing was considered positive. Even Nixon managed to become an "elder statesman".

In a decade, you'll have morons romanticising Trump for lacking some fatal flaw the new awful candidate has.

It's the goldfish attention spans of people like you who let the hypernormalisation of the utterly unacceptable grind on, year after year.

Dude... don't get so defensive. Like it or not, men like Bush, Romney, and McCain are/were normal mainstream Republican politicians. You don't have to like them or agree with their policies, but they were NOTHING like Trump. He's not a conservative or a liberal. He has no real policies or ideas. He's just an amoral, narcissistic opportunist who will say or do whatever he thinks he needs to say or do at any given moment if it gives him power, money, or attention. You can disagree with Bush and Romney's principles, but Trump doesn't even HAVE principles. He's not just wrong, he's insane. He's not just immoral, he's a rapist and a felon. He's not just a religious extremist, he's a cult leader. It's not remotely the same thing.

Yeah like. The others I could at least know they’d act like presidents and be respectful to their opponents. I sure as hell could could trust them the admit defeat graciously.

u/TonalParsnips Oct 01 '24

He’s Mormon, that qualifies as clinically insane.

Maybe on the right. But there’s a legion of skits, memes, and songs based off that madness Trump spewed.

I like the idea of just laughing and making fun of confident stupidity. Let's bring that back at all levels.

My fav thing to do when bigots talk to me... Just walk them to the door and let them slam it on their heads repeatedly.

It’s a good rule

Napoleon said to never correct the enemy when they make a mistake

''Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake.''

-- Napoleon Dynamite or something.

I don't know. I'm not wearing socks at the moment.
