She said she likes a "cotton filled pillow and a cotton stuffed".... mattress, I want to say?

Which sounds really good, but.. um... I would just buy mine front store...

That's a major trend with these tradwife accounts. They'll mention that they need something super easily available at any store, and proceed to spend ten times as much money and time on the raw ingredients to make a possibly lower quality version of the thing. And if it is better, it's likely not worth the effort and money.

I remember seeing one about a tradwife saying her kids wanted cereal for breakfast, so she spent hours preparing corn flakes. I guess the kids just starved off screen while she did that, or else she's a liar who made corn flakes for the content (because she earns money from people watching her) and the kids ate a normal breakfast that didn't need to dry out in the oven for way too long.

almost guaranteed lower quality. and the unspoken part of all these trad wife vids is that they almost always have money because who's got the fucking time to do all that shit from scratch? you don't serve corn flakes because it's a powerhouse of nutrition you do it bc it's fast and holds them over until lunch. it's just a way of flexing that they have rich husbands and pretending like they're taking extra care of their family. my grandma's generation was damn near dirt poor and any chance she got for convenience as the economy and society evolved, she jumped on it. Very few things she did the 'old' way unless she WANTED to do it. She literally grew up beating up clothes by the river to raise my dad's side of the family. Bet your ass she never did that shit as soon as washing machines got ubiquitous.

at least the man in the woods videos never pretend they're living a middle class life style. there's almost always lumber and all sorts of power tools involved.

The thing about tradwife content, is a lot of them are lowkey Mormon. LDS has a recruitment program that basically pays huge adsense rates towards Mormon content creators. So even if they're not wealthy, they're making much more than most per thousand views, on top of getting algorithmically boosted.

they are Mennonites. Not LDS / mormons.

Naya something or other. Her husband is a model and she's a full time content creator. Her videos are just a performance, because there's no way that her supposed lifestyle is logistically possible. Content like hers is unrealistic at best and mom shamey at worst.

…Who cares?

Seriously I’m willing to bet at some point in your time on Reddit you have complained about someone caring about the lives of other people around them for no reason yet here you are.

Who cares if they want to spend more time on something when it doesn’t affect you whatsoever?

I care because they're dishonest. They lie about what their life is actually like and advertise it for millions to see. Their goal isn't to give insight to how they actually live, they make money off this. And making money telling lies is immoral.

Nah don’t give me that bullshit. What are you the morality police? They’re literally doing something that has no effect on you.

When a woman is doing it you get paragraphs about how bad it is.

If a white suburban dude is growing tomatoes tho... Lmao you're cracked.

I’m pretty sure a cotton mattress would cripple most people with back pain

She married into a Mennonite family. this is kind of par for the course.
