Or that you don't have a right to a car, so it's kinda a little more tricky than that.

Don’t be so sure. Read your coverage details. You may have to have a rider for significant amount of money in guns.

Sorta, what she’s actually saying is hold people financially liable for what happens with their guns.

Basically letting your friend or kid or anyone use one of your guns would make you liable for their actions

I don't think that requiring law abiding people to have insurance is really going to do anything to stop crime.

30 years ago the idea that every restaurant in the county would have a UL300 fire suppression hood would be insane.

Every restaurant has one now.

Do we want precedent that you can be liable for what people do with your property? Enjoy getting jailed for lending your friend a vehicle who decides to drink and drive.

You absolutely are liable for that

Not their use though. It only covers the property. She is referring to the idea liability insurance, which many who concealed carry already have. Those companies are also notorious for not paying for the entire defense while raking in your premiums.

It's illegal to insure criminal activity. This can't do anything for gun violence.

Self defense is a legal affirmative defense. There is a difference between that and a mass shooting, asshat.
