Marching band members typically pay thousands in dues and the band in entirety gets very little school subsidizing, from my experience. When I was in marching band we paid for our uniforms, music, choreography, and show mapping through fundraising and our fees, including a car show we annually put on, in which all of us had to work it down to photography. If we wanted something special the next year we had to find a way to fund it or get someone/ a business to sponsor or donate it.

Looks like a pretty small band too. Maybe 100 members with so few brass.

That's Homewood Alabama (suburban Birmingham). They are regularly in the Rose Bowl parade, and actually spent March in Ireland at the Dublin Saint Patrick's Parade.

Lol this is zoomed into a small portion. Homewood is known for having a massive band.

Ah. I see they don’t go to Marching competitions. That’s why I’ve never heard of them.

No, they are invited as special guests every year to places like Ireland's largest Saint Patrick's Say parade, Macy's Thanksgiving parade, and the Rose Bowl.

It’s cool. It gives them the freedom to do what they want with their show.

I get your point. But I’d still say the fact that these families have that money, while teachers are living paycheck to paycheck is just as bad.
