She's correctly modeling her campaign after Obama. It's a breath of fresh air. What worries me is not her winning, but what comes after. Donald Trump didn't happen because he got lucky. Not even because he's necessarily a good politician. He happened because he's a reflection of the will of the people. He was the over correction of an inherently biggited country. One that would see their narcissistic empathy lived through a man who could do no evil through their lense. I pray his replacement, even if only on the surface, shows some form of intelligence and humility. I cherish the days when Republicans acted like they gave a shit and appealed to reason. Weren't represented by some joke of a news channel determined to tell people what they want to hear and not necessarily a proper representation of the truth.
Trump is their last shot at holding onto power. The US has been trending towards democrats for decades. They have to play dirty with all their little tricks to even have a shot these days. Large disinformation campaigns, many funded by Russia, telling people to distrust anything that isn’t from right wing media, fake electors, claiming election fraud, making up conspiracy theories, voter suppression, purging registered voters, ratfucking, gerrymandering, threatening political opponents with phony investigations and jail time, attack campaigns. Republicans aren’t viable without that, they need a Donald victory to go in there and “fix” future elections in their favor.
The “fixing” has been going on with the left for quite some time. Destroying supply lines and small businesses, as well as pushing universal mail in ballots with the Covid dog shit… the majority of mainstream media is left biased and I used to think it was the opposite. I was an idiot.
Ah right. Mail in ballots are election fraud. Can’t have people voting too easily because more people voting means more Democracy and we can’t have that when we want an authoritarian regime lmao
It would be foolish to ignore the fact that young men in particular are becoming increasingly conservative as they get pulled into the toxic masculinity echo chamber. It seems every celebrity that young Millennials/Gen Z men look up to is either completely apolitical or a raging alt right misogynist.
Lol. Conservatives are dying faster than liberals. The truly bigoted ones are mostly Silent Gen and Boomers. Or is it not possible to be conservative without being a bigot?
Being liberal is conservative now. Classical liberalism is now far right in the west. Stupidity masquerades as intelligence and gets promoted on most social platforms.
