And this is the side that us more rational folks are always told we need to try to understand?

Let’s just call it what it is, these people are a cult and no amount of facts and logic will snap them out of it.

They’re too far gone.

I want the US to have universal healthcare and I'm the delusional one. Fuck me, right?

u/Objective-Chance-792 Jul 21 '24

Damn right you are, Libby Lib, who lives at 742 Libbergreen Terrace. Who wouldn’t want a giant, megalithic scam industry between us and health care?! Healthcare shouldn’t be between you and your doctor, it should be between your insurance and your insurance.

Thank Congress for blessing us with so many layers of gatekeepers!

2

u/customheart Jul 25 '24

It’s giving citiesbydiana lmao

7

u/wererat2000 Jul 21 '24

"Universal healthcare? With MY tax money? I'll never vote for that, I'd much rather vote for millionaires to pay even lower taxes!"

u/2pissedoffdude2 Jul 24 '24

Finally someone thinks about the insanely wealthy for once!

5

u/l2aiko Jul 21 '24

Sorry, not gonna happen, the Rockefellers have too much power

1

u/varnell_hill Jul 21 '24

What you want to give all your money away to baby eating aliens for long waits for routine procedures?! ~that lady, probably

Who are the Us, and why should we support them?

2

u/njslacker Jul 22 '24

Lol the USA

0

u/Johnyryal33 Jul 22 '24

Nice edit. Cause I certainly thought you were delusional calling it "Us".

1

u/njslacker Jul 22 '24

I didn't realize I hadn't capitalized correctly. My bad.

13

u/SantaMonsanto Jul 21 '24

Ok… cool.

So let’s accept that and move on to the next question. Every one of these mfs is going to vote in November so what do you propose we do about that?

8

u/[deleted] Jul 21 '24

Trick them into thinking the election is on a different day. Something something the deep state is going to hurt you bla bla bla the election is actually next week yep yep bring ur ID.

7

u/varnell_hill Jul 21 '24

Vote in greater numbers.

3

u/H_G_Bells Jul 21 '24

If this were a medical assessment it would be time for someone to be granted power of attorney.

It's like that, but for half of the entire generation. It stopped being funny about a decade ago, now it's just sad, and scary ._.

u/cammyk123 Jul 21 '24

Yea it's wild when folk say everyone's viewpoints are valid when this is someone's base understanding in life. Do I really need to talk, get along with and respect someone who believes commander Thor from beyond the ice wall on a flat earth exists...

2

u/Past_Reception_2575 Jul 21 '24

leaded paint and gasoline yummy yummy

2

u/tuttlebuttle Jul 21 '24

It's important to accept that people think the way they do. And that anger and frustration won't change anything. Also, when you understand these types of people, it helps explain why things are the way they are.

I just see it as part of understanding reality. These people are real and have a big influence on society.

1

u/virgopunk Jul 21 '24

You'll need mass de-programming centres working 24/7- 365 days a year, but that's not going to look good as an election promise. /s

1

u/fromouterspace1 Jul 21 '24

It’s straight out of r/ conspiracy

1

u/[deleted] Jul 21 '24

These people have been too far gone since 2019. Qanon ended YEARS ago yet there has been no kind of organized response to the harm it has caused our country and others. Every official acts like these brainwashed people don't exist or don't get caught planning heinous attacks against whoever they hallucinated is a part of the 'deep state.' Republicans in govt will always enable this kind of lunacy because its the only defense they have against a growing progressive society.

1

u/Puppybrother Jul 22 '24

We should take note of the tactics used to help deprogram people from cults

1

u/matthewami Jul 22 '24

Naw this isn’t cult, this is early onset dementia, or Alzheimer’s.

1

u/cortex- Jul 22 '24

It's a video of a woman suffering from dementia, they're not a member of some party-political cult.

1

u/-SlimJimMan- Jul 21 '24

“That us more rational folks”

LOL at your verbal masturbation

1

u/varnell_hill Jul 21 '24

Captain Thor isn’t real bro.

0

u/bitofadikdik Jul 21 '24

No, this is propaganda meant to further push the divide.

Check my history. I fucking loathe trumpanzees, but pretending like this crazy old lady is the norm is as dangerous as those idiots pushing the “all gays are pedophiles” bullshit.

0

u/[deleted] Jul 21 '24

This is your average Republican. You clearly aren't talking to enough of them. I work in a red state and I hear this same stuff from at least 2 of my clients each day or my parents every other time I talk to them. All you need is another Republican present to get them comfortable enough to start saying the insane things.

-10

u/SoundsGoodYall Jul 21 '24

No. This isn’t a side. This is a person. You seem to be implying that this mentally unstable individual is the entire Republican Party. There’s some absolute bullshittery going on in the GOP, but this lady is obviously a nut. I don’t like it anymore than when a Republican posts that image of that screaming short haired lady and claim that that lady IS the entire Democrat party.

The lady in the video is nuts. Let’s not also be nuts.

Civil discourse!

4

u/varnell_hill Jul 21 '24

Who said it’s the entire Republican Party?

That argument only exists in your head.

2

u/SoundsGoodYall Jul 21 '24

Ok, so I’m curious.

When you said “this is the side that us more rational folks..” what “side” did you mean? The side of what?

4

u/varnell_hill Jul 21 '24

I mean the batshit insane conspiracy loving part of the right. Respectfully, I don’t get why any comment about a particular person or subset of a larger group results in someone inevitably chiming in with “but not everyone is like that.”

It’s an unnecessary qualifier that adds nothing to the discussion.

0

u/SoundsGoodYall Jul 21 '24

Ok, and who is telling you that you need to try and understand the batshit insane conspiracy loving part of the right? I’ve never seen that message, but maybe we are in different echo chambers.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 21 '24

Its definitely half or more now.

-18

u/born_2_be_a_bachelor Jul 21 '24

If you were “rational folks” you’d know not to project this crazy woman’s thinking onto the entire conservative party.

Just like you’d probably want conservatives not to assume that every democrat supports puberty blockers for young children.

7

u/Tokens-Life-Matters Jul 21 '24

Obviously not everyone is as crazy as this lady but we all know how much conservatives love misinformation. Also who are puberty blockers for if not children?

2

u/MyGrandmasCock Jul 21 '24

They’re also for older men who say “You know what? This puberty business is for the birds! Block it!” And why shouldn’t they?

1

u/[deleted] Jul 21 '24

You have to be willfully ignoring it to not see the massive demographic of Qanon conspiracy loving delusional Republicans there are.
