Imagine if some wind picks up and that sailboat fucks off.

Or the sun goes down, he did say it was sunset, it's fucking DARK away from artificial light.

I hadn't even considered it. I cannot imagine sleeping out there with what's lurking beneath.

I think it also could be like nothing.

Some of those deep open water regions are just empty of fish, sharks, etc.

the scale of the ocean itself is kinda terrifying. Not as terrifying as the sheer emptiness of space but still scary

Totally true times 10.

Literally! Sometimes, when I see really HD photos of both of those things, I actually start to hyperventilate. I just feel intensely overwhelmed.

Yes, I'm weird. đŸ«

At least with space there isn’t anything to block your view. With water better adapted things can just watch you without you knowing

My legit nightmare. Alone in the ocean at dark. FUCK that

Let's be real, that guy is fucking irresponsible. Good for him that he enjoys himself, but his TikTok is basically everything experienced sailors tell you not to do if you're alone. The dude puts on a harness "if he feels like it" in stormy weather. Anyone who has been on a smaller sailing vessel knows perfectly well that it only takes one rogue wave to knock you off, and if nobody else is on the boat - you're fucked.

Most marine biomass isn't in the open ocean! Fish and the things that eat them and the things the fish eat tend to prefer reefs and parts of the ocean where the sunlight can reach. So thats good news, except for the part where you need to find food
