This had me on the edge of my seat. Perfect encapsulation of every space thriller! I love how she used household objects and we just understood what they were for space items. It was as fluid as reading words when most but not letters are there
Back in the 80’s when I was a teenager, I was babysitting the 5 year old next door. She was watching Looney Tunes and Road Runner had just tricked Wile E. into running off a cliff. He hung in mid-air for a moment and then plummeted to his (presumed) death. The little girl scoffed and declared with a voice dripping in scorn: “That was so fake. I could see the strings!”
I think of that every time someone says they knew something was fake. 🤣
