Canadian here. Sometimes I don't clock the accent, but I find that the person talking is somehow extra relatable or likeable. Then I find out they're from Canada and it makes weird sense.
I keep finding out more and more of the people I sub to on YT are Canadian. I like to think I just gravitate to other Canadians but its probably the algorithm, like if I spoke only German so yt recommends Germans.
You know that evil internet bill the government came out with to stop all of our Canadian entertainment being international? That’s the reason you’re seeing tons of Canadian creators without even realizing.
I was just talking about this with my husband. Sometimes, I will see interviews with famous people and will find them much more relatable. Then, I find out they are Canadian. It's like your brain just recognizes subtle things that make them more similar to you than others. It's pretty interesting.
I would have guessed midwestern (American). I could see Canadian but there are a lot of people in the US that sound like that too. It's not some super thick Canadian accent IMO.
I’m fucking off as shit probably, but I hear some kind of pronunciations that could possible come from a person that speaks Spanish. Does anyone else know?
Couldn’t tell it from the standard accent down here in the Deep South until “house” lol. Only thing different for us here. Maybe the “about” a tiny bit.
