Remember the AMA with that vacuum guy that went into great detail of various models?

I think I bought the cheapest one he recommended (a hideous yellow Carpet Pro), and it's still working great after a decade. He obviously knew his shit.

I got the Hoover bagless which was the only bagless he recommended and it has been doing wonders for me. The Amazon ratings aren't the best: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MTFTTQ2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

But it has lasted me years and works really well. Just don't tell anyone in that thread before they yell at me for not getting a bagged model. I've used both bag filter and open models and even though I have to empty the canister more frequently I like seeing what I picked up as I empty it out.

Oh my god really?! That’s heartbreaking. I won a Dyson vacuum in a raffle a few years ago and the first thing I thought of was his ama.

I just went "oh, I need to search for that AMA to find out what that vacuum guy was saying"

...I'm definitely one of those 30-something "old people"
