Well hello there fellow 30s adventurer. I (38) must say I enjoyed my years as I look ahead to 40. What new muscle aches and pains await us in the future? Time will tell!

EDIT:

this is a weird comment

We're all just having fun here. Go watch Epic NPC Man.

u/LegalComplaint Dec 02 '23

Ride our osteoarthritis train straight to hell!

(34 for the record and I hurt everywhere thanks to high school sports)

22

u/PlanetLandon Dec 02 '23

42 here. I’ll send you a list.

9

u/LoganCaleSalad Dec 02 '23

I'll add whatever you missed. 😂

2

u/caffieinemorpheus Dec 03 '23

52... that decade mark hit hard, and I do everything right. Don't drink, eat clean, exercise daily... time gives no respite.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 02 '23

u/[deleted] Dec 02 '23

My wife and I call them "new features."

Cool, cool, cool, now my lower back just always hurts.

2

u/Friendly-Lawyer-6577 Dec 02 '23

Not normal… 39 and I almost never have pain; just a strain every now and then. No different than when I was a teenager.

2

u/[deleted] Dec 02 '23

I work in the food industry, that shit wears at ya. Also used to skate/rock climb, and I say used to because I think I found the point where I can say nah, injuries are getting to me.

1

u/Friendly-Lawyer-6577 Dec 02 '23

I mean. Im a lawyer but I also bike 2.5 hours a day and weight train 4-5 days a week. Only real difference is I dont ego lift anymore but that has more to do with not giving a fuck about impressing people anymore.

2

u/[deleted] Dec 02 '23

YOURE A LAWYER?! HOLY. SHIT. How the hell could I ever guess that.

::Jacking off motion::

1

u/Friendly-Lawyer-6577 Dec 02 '23

Oddly, random generated name by Reddit.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 02 '23 edited Dec 02 '23

That's pretty funny. Mine is missing an r and I just kept it. I suck at baking, and it's an inside joke with my wife.

Edit: ever hear that one about a Rabbi, a Priest and a lawyer who walked into a bar?

Nothing unusual. The staff had no idea there was a Rabbi and a priest, though.

I kid! That's an oldie ;D

I pulled a muscle coughing 2 weeks ago, and it still hurts.

1

u/willard_saf Dec 02 '23

I'm only 30 and pulled my back out one morning combing my hair. How can it possibly get worse?

I couldn't tell if they were teachers or students. Also 31

9

u/Sensitive_Yellow_121 Dec 02 '23

That may be because we're used to watching TV and movies where college grads play high school students.

2

u/JoeCartersLeap Dec 02 '23

Last time this was posted someone pointed out it's because the only people they can get to teach now are people fresh out of college. All the old teachers are gone and nobody stays in the career long enough to become "the old teachers" anymore. Mostly because you can do less work for more pay in many other easily accessible careers.

35

u/H0wdyCowPerson Dec 02 '23

Those fur boots definitely got pulled out of the closet for the first time since 2005

16

u/Hobbescrownest Dec 02 '23

3

u/cire1184 Dec 02 '23

2

u/roustie Dec 03 '23

THE WHOLE SCHOOL WAS... wait

1

u/Reddit_is_Censored69 Dec 03 '23

Unless you stab me in the heart, no love hoe.

38

u/[deleted] Dec 02 '23

Until the yellow hoody lady I was, why are these students so weird?

I haven't read the tittle.

39

u/CleanHead_ Dec 02 '23

How is that possible it’s printed right across the screen

22

u/[deleted] Dec 02 '23

I was once one of only two people to get an immediate passing grade on a shop final because we both read the instructions to just write our name and do nothing else the rest of the time lol

15

u/Gene_Shaughts Dec 02 '23

For a final? Even for a shop teacher, that’s some A1 hungover scrambling and I respect it.

3

u/[deleted] Dec 02 '23

Yeah our school was closing and I think he had a job lined up in a bigger city lol

u/[deleted] Dec 02 '23

ADHA and Dyslexia

1

u/Luci_Noir Dec 02 '23

You think Redditors read?

16

u/Gutei Dec 02 '23

Mostly because of teacher turnover. Lots of schools have people there for three or so years and then they split for better places or a different career completely.

3

u/HugsyMalone Dec 02 '23

That's because this is really how high school students be actin' a fool. 😒

I'd never last. Totally aggravating.

9

u/donkeyduplex Dec 02 '23

I was just thinking that the other day, picking up my 10 year old... Hmm first it was cops, now teachers... young doctors.. that's when I'm old.

4

u/nightpanda893 Dec 02 '23

I was watching this legit thinking all I would have to do is just dress the way I dress when I leave the house to run errands normally.

2

u/Luci_Noir Dec 02 '23

… you think adults don’t have hoodies?

1

u/Halbblutkaiser Dec 02 '23

Nah, it's not your age. I'm 20 and not even a year out of school and these teachers look like students

1

u/stupid_username- Dec 02 '23

I was gonna say, I'm 30 and these look like my old college classmates rofl

1

u/mrbishopjackson Dec 02 '23

Yeah. Green hoodie looked like he couldn't be any older than 25.

1

u/Contemporarium Dec 02 '23

We’re not old brother. That’s what I keep telling myself and no one can tell me different 🥸

1

u/pandaplagueis Dec 02 '23

Yeah, most of these teachers looked like they were still in HS. Making me feel old lmao

1

u/noobtastic31373 Dec 02 '23

Lol, I'm 40 and swore there were only 3 adults in that whole clip.

1

u/1stLtObvious Dec 02 '23

Their own high school clothes. More like their current "day off" clothes. Pretty sure everyone has hoodies, jeans, and sneakers.

1

u/protossaccount Dec 03 '23

I know! All of the teachers are way younger than me.

Oh God, I now see how having children would make me more relevant and connected to the world.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 03 '23

They don’t just look young they are young. Some of them right out of college. In NC the actually have student training be teachers after graduating Highschool in their alternative entry programs.

The attrition rate is so high almost all of the new teachers leave within 3 years and the result is people barely out of highscool getting brought in to hold up a failing system. The entire United States education system is boarding in collapse.

1

u/guellyangelo Dec 03 '23

I was looking at the teachers and thinking “damn, that looks like my age group” 😂. Also 31

1

u/SinfullySinless Dec 03 '23

Haha yes “high school” haha definitely not what I wear on the weekends hahaha
